hello,
we have problem with uninstalling eset file security version 5 (plan to upgrade to version 6).
unable uninstall via start menu, then when we try to uninstall via safe mode. server wont start but restart automatically when we login.
install version 6 without uninstall version 5, wont successfull.
is there anyway to uninstall via eset sysrescue?

I try to create Eset sysrescure from flash disk.
there is some folder and files created.
It is say succesfull
the folder and file was created gone
anyone can help with this problem.

Some of our customers have software installed which is using a postgres database.
The software is installed in one single folder. This folder is named by the software vendor and is located in different places at different systems. The foldername and location can be chosen while installing the software. There is a subfolder called "postgresSQL" with another subfolder named like the postgres Version(in our case "8.4"). This folder seems to contain the postgres executable and the data.
We set an exclusion for the main folder of the software installation with subdirs(PostgresSQL...) excluded, too.
If your using a firewall a tcp port for postgressql should be open. In our case it is the port TCP 5432.

you can use password for protect eset client from temporary disable, uninstall or change configuration.
open console. go to tools - policy manager - double click server policy.
go to protect setup parameter.

hello, we have problem with uninstall era agent.
old server was down and we reinstall to the new server. problem come when we try to reinstall agent so it get new ceritificate.
agent uninstall process ask password for continue. we give it the right password (same password with endpoint) it wont finish uninstall, say incorrect password. event uninstall eset endpoint security doesnt help.
how to fix this, please.

Password could have been override by configuration policy from SERVER, have you tried empty password to be sure?
yes, i tried empty password.
i know, version 6 override configuration by policy from server.
finally, i successfully remove with revo uninstaller. disable era agent service before.

wee need this too for user have notebook. when they in office network (work hous) policy for web control and device control apply.
but when they go home they can access all website and device.

when we try to install Server-Linux-x86_64.sh then this message came up.

But it still is yet another server to install, run and manage. Having a dedicated server (even if it is an appliance) for this task is silly. Please bring back the XML-based activation!
Agree with you, era version 5 is the best product with all simplicity to deploy and manage. It stable, durable and reliable. Version 6 a big joke.
