BTW - in regards to that nVidia driver caused blue screen, nVidia has stopped supporting Win 7 for sometime: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/software/nvidia-is-dropping-support-for-windows-7-and-windows-8-drivers/ .

You might also want to review this list of Win 7 security vulnerabilities: https://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerability-list/vendor_id-26/product_id-17153/Microsoft-Windows-7.html .
Microsoft has patches for these but they are only available for Win 7 Pro+ extended support installations.

Tonyset gave kudos to Peter Randziak in Strange behavior after updating Microsoft Edge to Version 110
The dev team decided to disable Protected websites redirection feature for Chrome and MS Edge browsers, until the issue is resolved in order to prevent the browsers crashes.
The change will be distributed via an Rapid response module update (probably with version 21778).
After the automatic update, the Chrome and MS Edge won't crash anymore, but the Protected websites redirection feature will not work until we release the full fix.
Disabling the Protected websites redirection feature resolves the issue.
Another way to resolve the issue is to use the Secure all browsers option.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this issue.

It might be worth also emailing your findings if you have not done so as I know Eset prefers this over the forum. I've not seen anyone from Eset address this on here but will tag @Marcosin as they may have just missed this

Yes, you are right, disabling it, edge works with or without "Protect all browsers", but the problem remains.

It's "Enable protected website redirection" that causes it.

Tonyset gave kudos to itman in Strange behavior after updating Microsoft Edge to Version 110
No problem here using Edge ver. 110 and ESSP with Protect all browsers option disabled on Win 10 22H2.
Are you running Win 11?

Glad to know that I'm not the only one haha. For me only disabling Banking and Payment Protection to fixed the crash problem of Edge Browser. Today the same behavior is happening in Chrome, but Edge is the most affected. When opening Edge in a flash or about 10 seconds it will be close itself.

Hello, I must say that I had also noticed this problem immediately after upgrading to version 16 of ESS, but after a clean reinstall the problem disappeared.

Tonyset gave kudos to Peter Randziak in Good Update
As of now we do not know yet if the issue is caused by the GUI itself or the Updater so we need to investigate it properly and fix...
hmmm, I haven't seen such reports so far 😞

Tonyset gave kudos to Marcos in there is release date of version 16?
We continually improve detection, protection and cleaning via module updates that are released on a regular basis. When asking specifically about v16, it has brought support for Intel Threat Detection Technology: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/vpro/hardware-shield/threat-detection-technology.html

If you have your recovery key, you can change the master password:
If you don't have it, contact customer care with a request to delete your password store (you will lost saved passwords). Then you'll be able to create a new password store associated with the same email address.

Tonyset gave kudos to New_Style_xd in How to pause ESET?
I have disabled Eset's real-time protection. I went to Windows Upadat that I put for Windows to be updated, but there was no update for WD.
I want to update WD and I can't.
-
Tonyset gave kudos to New_Style_xd in How to pause ESET?
I'm not having a problem.
What I want to do is disable Eset and be able to update WD and then enable Eset. I could do this with other AVs. but with eset I can't. I wanted to know if there is any way to do it?
-
Tonyset gave kudos to itman in How to pause ESET?
You can keep WD sigs. updated by setting WD to perform periodic scanning via Windows Security Center. The downside of this is the entire WD engine loads into memory at system startup time and basically sits there doing nothing until a periodic scan is run.
The alternative is to temporarily disable Eset real-time protection. After this done, WD real-time protection should auto enable via WSC monitoring. At this time, you can force an update of WD sigs. Then re-enable Eset real-time protection.

Tonyset gave kudos to Marcos in How to pause ESET?
Windows Defender updates can be downloaded while ESET is fully active. It must work also because having another AV installed does not affect periodic scanning by WD.
Are you able to reproduce issues with updating WD at any time? If so, does temporarily disabling protocol filtering make a difference?

Look at the link you sent even doing the procedure you informed. Even so, when I went to Windows Update, Windows Defender did not update its database and did not update its platform.
