My customer has an application become very slow after installating endpoint antivirus. The only solution I found is to exclude the java file (javaw.exe) from http protocol filtering. My question is how to use wildcard in the excluded path in era policy? There are 50 users, if not I need to enter 50 times. I try this but doesn't work C:\Users\*\AppData\Local\UClient\share\java1.7.0_80-x64\bin\javaw.exe Thanks

Hi Marcos, I have downlaoded correct micro update file for endpoint v6.6. The file extension is ".dll.nup".

I have received ESET micro update download email for Endpoint v6.6 since few weeks ago (dll.nup files). I have tested it today, but failed. What I did is 1. Created share folder to store the full update file downloaded from ESET micro update server (For 64bit Endpoint v6.6) 2. Configured ESET Endpoint Security v6.6 to update VSD from share folder 3. Updating failed. Error is Modules update failed. An error occurred while downloding update files However my Endpoint Security v6.3 still working fine with micro update file Thanks

Our company has 300 users in total (HQ 200u, subcompany 100u), all managed by one license key and ERA server installed in HQ. Due to company reconstruction, our subcompany will move to other location and they will manage ESET (100u) themself. We will buy new license and install new ERA server in subcompany, and re-deploy Agent to the 100 users. My questions is, are there any other solutions that no need to re-deploy Agent? Create an agent policy in HQ ERA server to change the server address? how about the certificates? Thanks

Hi Michal, We know EP6.6 doesn't support mirror updates. So we use EP6.5 also tried EP6.2, but same issue. We guess it is the micro update files issue. Thanks Jin

We have few customers are using ESET micro update in the past few years and it is working fine. The steps we did is 1. Setup an ESET mirror server using EEA/EES or EFSW 2. Download ESET micro update file (Levels) and save it to local c:\ESETMicro 3. ESET mirror server update from ESET micro update file (Update URL: c:\ESETMicro) 4. Clients update from ESET mirror server (Update URL: hxxp://mirror server ip:2221) 5. Download ESET micro update file (nanos) on every Monday and overwirtes the files in c:\ESETMicro 6. Mirror server and clients will auto update. The above stpes are working fine. But we encountered issue when we use it for a new customer recently. Step 1 to 4 no problem, working fine. But when we apply the coming week update file "nanos", Only mirror server can update, clients cannot, no any error message shown. We checked this issue with our local support, they told us ESET mirror server will re-generate and replace the update.ver file for clients, that's why clients cannot get updates from mirror server. We need to off mirror feature in EEA, use share folder to store ESET micro update files and let all clients point to this folder to get updates. My question is why we can use the mirror function with ESET micro updates last time? Thanks Jin

My ESET detected some files are viruses, the action is "Cleaned by deleting (after next restart)". However I am sure these files are safe, how to prevent the files from being deleted? If exclude these files from real-time scan, after restart, will ESET still delete it?

Hi Marcos, We have double confirmed that it only affect Mac system. The google drive sync is working fine in Windows with Endpoint security installed. We have tried: 1. Disable removable media in real time scanner (Doesn't help) 2. Add google drive file in firewall rule (Doesn't help) 3. Upgraded to latest version 6.5 from 6.3.85.1 (Help alittle bit. After install ESET Endpoint Security, users try to sync their files and folders from google drive sync, they experience very slow and laggy PC performance. It affect both Windows and Mac system. SSL protocol filtering is disabled.

Hi ESET, Installed EISv10 in an new Win10 computer without any antivirus inside. EIS was activated and virus signatrue DB is up to date. However during the first scan, computer is blue screen, and stuck on Recovery loop. Error is Your PC/Device needs to be repaired The operating system could not be loaded because a critical system driver is missing File:\\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\eelam.sys Error code: 0xc000000f Press Enter to try again Press F8 for Startup Settings Restart computer doesn't help, cannot go safe mode, stuck on recovery loop. Press F8 can go Startup Settings, but when press F8 again to disable early lauch anti-malware protection option, it does't work and auto back to recovery page again. Please advise Thanks Jin

Hi ESET, For ESA, an Active Directory domain is required to install ESET Secure Authentication, however if my customer running Novell eDirectory can still use ESA? if cannot how to use ESA to protect VPN and others? Please advise Details: They are running Novell eDirectory which you can use LDAP for connection. They are using Domain Services for Windows as a work around as PIL don't use AD. Domain Services for Windows (DSfW) is a suite of technologies in Novell Open Enterprise Server that allows Microsoft Windows users to access OES services through native Windows and Active Directory protocols. Dear ESET, As ESA installation require domain admin account, however if my customer can only use a normal account with delegated access, what permissions are required? Any idea why domain admin is required? And after the initial installation will any services be running using the domain admin account? Dear ESET, May I know if the ESA solution is customizable. e.g. My customer tried to install the trial version but it is asking for domain admin account. Can this be installed without using domain account as it is a very powerful account that is sealed. They can only use a normal account with delegated access. What permissions are required.
