i have same issue with latest Eset File Security installed on 2003 server (i have user profiles on this server and all domain). But i have also services / programs via http and https on this server and this services also tragically slows down. For me only works disable all protection for now, but it is not acceptable. Please some help about that. Back to old version is not solve also when is never (better i guest) version that we paying yearly ...
On second server (Windows Server 2012) it seems to Eset File Security don't slow network. This server i using for file sharing few network services / programs and for ERA Server. But i have one issue with Eset File Security - when i try to update virus database i get "Internal server error" (translated from polish version) and database don't update. SOLVED - bad configure in update section Eset File Security
Other thing is that, when we upgrading era server from 5 to 6 we need extra libraries to install which upgrade instruction no provide that information (visual basic redistributable). When I installed this package it solves error 1603 during installation. Our patience with that product is little bit shattered...
