Here is the problem My win 2008 R2 server (VM) which my ERAS was running on ran out of HD space. I am unable to start the VM now. I created the ERAS virtual appliance, added my AD computers. They are all showing up, but showing up as having nothing installed..(I know that they all have ESET RA and ESET Endpoint) I'm guessing I need to unmanage them (aka uninstall the RA), but I don't know how to do it via a cmd line (preferably silently) ?? I used the same IP addy as it had before... ?? -

OK... so Im trying to get the locations of these viruses on a specific PC WITHOUT using the damn remote administrator console because it is just TOO DAMN SLOW!! Here is what Im trying to explain: I go to the dashboard and click on Antivirus threats. It shows me a Pie graph with a bunch of threats. I Left click in the pie area and then Left click Detailed information... Here is when the frustration sets in... When it finally shows the results there is a lot of good info.... Object URI shows where the file is actually at! The problem is that when there are numerous records (in my case 482) it is impossible to scroll through. I thought I could copy the virlog.dat from the infected PC and then use the log collector to open it on my PC, but I cant overwrite my virlog.dat because ESET is running!! HELP!

Well Im over 600 installs in now and have come to the conclusion that it is easier for me to do the following: 1. Copy the ESET EES 32 bit or 64 bit MSI to the target devices. 2. Push the agent thru ESET 3. Deploy ESET using 3rd party software (PDQ Deploy) 4. The activation and Database updates happen soon after Install of ESET EES Since the install file was already copied ahead of time the PDQ deploy is basically just running a command to install... WARNING!! If you install ESET EES BEFORE the agent you will block yourself from being able to remote or PING the PC! this is because the ESET Firewall will be ON!!!

Upgrading ESET Antivirus to new version
dlaporte replied to ucvijan's topic in ESET PROTECT On-prem (Remote Management)
this way has worked for me!! Step 1. create a new Dynamic template. (I named mine 6.1.2222.0 to 6.1.2227.0) Step 2. Create a New Dynamic Group and point it to your newly created dynamic template (from step 1) Step 3. Assign a new task to the newly created Dynamic Group from (Step 2) That's it. The agents will check in..meet the Criteria and run the task.. -
BUMP I am 300 clients in now and am noticing that my default security policy is NOT being applied in a timely manner. This is causing (im guessing here) an ESET security policy to take effect and this policy has ESET firewall ON along with scanning ALL email. This is causing me a lot of grief! If I do the aforementioned trick with requesting the configuration it applies MY COMPANY default security policy within a couple of minutes.. This is why I need an easier way to make the request config feature happen..

msiexec.exe /i "ees_nt64_enu.msi" INSTALLED_BY_ERA=1 /qn /norestart /log output.log This worked fine. Interestingly...if you do a -t PING during the install you will notice that you lose connection with the PC. You cannot RDP nor PING the device, but still have network connectivity from the device itself... My guess is there is a service that gets turned off until you answer the prompt about Network (HOME/WORK or Public). Since I have suppressed this by using the "INSTALLED_BY_ERA=1" im guessing that you will not be able to RDP or ping until the Endpoint solution is activated ... AND using your default security policy...(ours turns off the firewall) Is this correct?
