hi, i would be interested to force a first analysis using the ERA task manager, BUT when you create a first analysis planification, you can't choose the type of analysis profile... is their a way to modify the first analysis profile ?

hi all, i wanted to know how to manage the first analysis, following the EEA installation through the agent. I deploy the agent and then the EEA, with a task. After the EEA installation it runs a first analysis, while it is not checked in the task planifier of my policy (based on the template "maximal security") And after this first analysis, user have to check what kind of action he wants to do (clean/suppress/nothing), i just wanted to do a "strict cleaning" thank's !

hi, yes i will do it that way : i need to send to my client or technician a script related to one and only one client (i can't take the risk to have a new "unknown computer" and we can't see the public ip in the console, and we can't insert a static group in the live installer) so i will create a unique certificate for each client, in relation with a dynamic group.all the dynamic groups will have the lost and found as parent group. now if a have hundreds of dynamic groups, i need to know easily if a new computer appear, what client is it. so i will now have to check all the dynamic groups.. all of this to finally put the good client in the good static group, with the good policies, tasks, licences...

hi again, i choose to deploy every clients with specific certificate (in relation with a dynamic group based on the cert ID). The computers appears on the good dynamic group on the contrary, the problem is that i can't find in a computer details witch dynamic group does it belong to ? we can see the parent static gorup and that'all

ok this is working. anyways, do you know if there is a way to put a static group as a parameter for the agent live installer ?

ok this is done, the eset live installer is generated with a created certificate, but at the end of the agent installer, it makes a rolling back and doesnt install !

I try to create a certificate, and assign it to the live installer, this is ok. But which certificate item do i have to check on the dynamic filter group ? Subject ? Serial Number ? Issuer ? thanks

Hi 21jags, it's ok for to manage dynamic groups, but nothing on it (like a specific marker) make possible for newly installed agent to join them automatically. We could insert a marker in the agent installer, and make it recongized by a dynamic group. for example, if i installed agents on remotes and branch office, nothing make me able to reconized which computer is on which place with dynamic groups.

Hi, here is my question : Is there a way to prepare an agent to be installed on computers, and join a specific static group. The goal is to make one personnalized installer for each site or client, and when we use it, the machine is automatically classified to a predefined static group. Thank's !

Thank you to post about this problem, i've made a post and i have no answer from the eset team. it is essential for me to have the public ip of the remote devices, because the ERA server is hosted in a datacenter, and it's a good thing to identify the devices with their ip address. Why the hell it is so complicated to collect this public ip on the console ???

Hi team, sorry for my previous post... BUT i see that the console is still unable to show the public ip of remote devices. What is the interest to see a lan IP ??? Now it's been one year i am waiting for this, and i see that 6.3 is still not as good as v5 was... Shall we hope a fix for that ? thank's.

This is a real joke ?! There is a feel to specify the parameters and its not used to give the msi parameters... wow. all msi need parameters to install silently ! or we need to customize the msi...

hello, i totaly agree that eset doesn't provide any support on third party msi installation, but this feature is really important for me ! i tryed using the hxxp:// link as if i installed an eset package.

Hello, why you remove the v5 before installing the v6 ? when you push install the v6 on computer with v5 installed and agent, it just installs the V6 properly. well i make some tests on lab about it, i have settings password on my client and no troubles updating V6 trough era with a software installation task.

Hello i'am exactly on the same case, and yes we will have to manage two different machines, one for the old era v5 and one for the news era v6, during the time of the migration for all clients. and be careful you can do nothing with era v6 on client v5, no management, no tasks... The easiest way is to personnalise the era srcipt to deploy the agent silently and after it you can push install the v6 client.

HI all, I just trying the brand new ERA V6 and have succesfully deployed the agent and the new eset endpoint antivirus trought the console. I was trying to deploy other msi package for exemple 7zip but the task always failed, as is it works installing it whith a cmd command line and the /quiet option localy on the machine. Is it a limitation of ERA, to deploy only ESET packages or is their someting i miss to succesfull deploy msi, which should be very helpful ! Thank's for your replies
