Windows 10 April 2018 Update support?
foneil replied to JRV's topic in ESET Internet Security & ESET Smart Security Premium
I see what you are saying. I don't want to speak for the Product Managers but I would say, the "official" support is announced in the product changelogs when the product is "officially" compatible. The KB documents any possible issues whether "officially" announced or not (before and after compatible build release). I can see why (for business products especially) having a single location (such as the KB) to say whether on a certain date it is officially compatible or not would be beneficial. I will see what I can do about updating content to address that. -
Windows 10 April 2018 Update support?
foneil replied to JRV's topic in ESET Internet Security & ESET Smart Security Premium
We have Windows 10 KB articles for Home and Business that we update if there is an issue with any of our products and Windows 10-- Home and Business: Known issues with ESET products and Windows 10 Home products: Upgrade to Windows 10 with your ESET product installed Business products: Upgrade to Windows 10 with ESET business products installed -
I'm glad you found it. For issues like this that necessitate a quick KB article, I'm toying with the idea of an RSS feed users can subscribe to for new KB articles, same as the ones already created for KB News, Alerts, Customer Advisories: Subscribe to ESET Knowledgebase Support News, Alerts and Customer Advisories I'm not sure how else we could get this info to users like you when you need it--let me know what you think, and we'll keep thinking too

Move from EMSX 4.5 to 6.X Increased spam?
foneil replied to jdashn's topic in ESET Products for Windows Servers
Depending on how you migrated to EMSX 6.5, you may have to recreate some configurations manually (user-defined rules, whitelists, blacklists, etc.). https://help.eset.com/emsx/6.5/en-US/idh_config_mailserver_rules.htm -
Parental Control Time Budget
foneil replied to Rich Mithoff's topic in ESET Products for Mobile Devices
I see what you're saying, I think I'm experiencing the same thing, I don't see a change when I try to adjust the time from the Home > Reports section of https://parentalcontrol.eset.com/ I can't "Save" the changes but I can adjust from the Rules > Time limits for fun & games section. I'll forward this on to see what's going on. -
Parental Control Time Budget
foneil replied to Rich Mithoff's topic in ESET Products for Mobile Devices
You should be able to adjust, per the table here https://support.eset.com/kb5555/ time budgets and time restrictions are available in the Free version. Is the category set to Fun & games? http://help.eset.com/epca/1/en-US/rules_appguard.html -
Yes definitely, overnight updates are "Coming later in 2018." jk But not jk, that's all the info I have at this time--I felt compelled to include that in the article as a placeholder so people are aware of all the current and planned update types, and so there is a central location to find this information. As more info comes, I will update the content in that KB article.

https://support.eset.com/kb2885/ the download for .42.0 is the "same' as the .42.1, the latter is a "repacked build" and after the 42.0 updates the detection modules, they are the same version. More explanation about repacked versions and version numbers, see https://support.eset.com/kb2256/#RepackedBuildRelease

You can contact support (How can I contact my local ESET partner for support? ) and ask for the last version of your product. But if you have that installed already, then you don't need to do anything because the in-product upgrades won't install the new version yet. Fresh installs of the latest version are running without issues afaik.

I don't know if we have an "official" position on this posted, but afaik our outward-facing support content is written using US English as our style guide and that is why we use the American flag to denote that language record. Same with Spanish actually, we use the Spanish and not Mexican (for example) flag for the same reason (same with Brazilian Portuguese)--the flag represents the localization or style guide of reference, not the country of origin of the language. I realize this might be a fine distinction, but this is how we approach "localization" rather than "translation" when we match the record to a flag.

Eset IS 11.1.40.0
foneil replied to persian-boy's topic in ESET Internet Security & ESET Smart Security Premium
The new version 11.1.4 is available via uPCU updates, regular release hasn't happened yet. ESET has changed (as you've noticed persian-boy) how we are releasing Home products updates/upgrades. I created a Knowledgebase article to help explain the new release strategy: https://support.eset.com/kb2256/ For uPCU releases, see description here https://support.eset.com/kb2256/#uPCUmicroupdate. Full changelog will be available with Full version release. Let me know if that helps or if you think that further info is needed. -
Checking with Tech Support.

EAV v9 wasn't released before we migrated from Wilders, so I doubt those settings (from v7) would apply to 9.425.4. Maybe they would idk, but the old Wilders forum is still archived on Wilders, let us know what you find digging through there!
