  1. It seems the survey is now closed, and as I don't know who created it, I think this is done? I wonder when the results will come, if they are published that is.
  2. And for the ESET Knowledgebase article for SMS Remote Text Commands, see hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2711#SMScommands
  3. For a list of all ESET Knowledgebase articles available for ESET Secure Authentication, visit the following web page: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&channel=SOLUTION&cat=ESA
  4. ESET Secure Authentication version 2.3.0.798 has been released and is available for a free business trial or to purchase. ESET Secure Authentication (ESA) is a mobile-based solution that uses two-factor authentication (2FA) in the form of a one-time password (OTP) to securely access a company's Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Microsoft Outlook Web App (OWA). Changelog: Added: Hard token support Added: User Management API Improved: When loading of ADUC tab, a message is displayed to the user that the tab is loading Improved: More robust install time autoconfiguration of service accounts Improved: Support for multiple AD DNS Zones Support for Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) Known Issues: On Blackberry devices, it is necessary to manually delete the ESA mobile application to remove old application data before installing a new copy of the ESA mobile application. Certain Symbian mobile devices display a low-resolution ESA mobile app icon. The "ESA Admins AD" security group is not removed during uninstallation. The Auth API requires a "Content-Type" header using the value "application/json," or it returns an HTTP 500 Error. Clicking Cancel on the OTP page for the Exchange 2013 Control Panel takes you back to the logon URL for OWA and not ECP. When an SMS OTP user is logged into OWA on Exchange 2010 and the browser session is idle, the system may send an occasional SMS OTP despite the fact that the user is already logged in. When logging in to a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine with ESA Remote Desktop protection enabled, users are unable to change expired passwords via Remote Desktop. This only manifests when Network Level Authentication is not enforced for Remote Desktop connections. ESET Secure Authentication FAQ — For frequently asked questions (FAQs), Known Issues, and links to ESET Knowledgebase articles for installing and configuring ESA. For installation instructions, see the ESET Secure Authentication (ESA) Setup Checklist. To check availability in your region, contact your local reseller, distributor or ESET office.
  5. ESET Remote Administrator version 5.2.26 has been released and is available to download. Changelog:Fixed: Remote uninstallation procedure does not work for ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition for Mac OS X 4.1.97 and later Fixed: The OS X remote installation progress monitor will not continue to update if the target computer reboot option is chosen to run after the installation Fixed (JPN only): Using ERA Maintenance Tool to edit server configuration corrupts the configuration xml Fixed (FRA only): Parameter evaluation in dynamic groups and policy rules ignore the "Last connection older than"-condition For instructions on upgrading from an earlier version of 5.x to the latest version, see the following ESET Knowledgebase article: How do I upgrade ESET Remote Administrator to the latest version? For detailed information and instructions on the new features, see the following ESET Knowledgebase article What's new in the latest version of ESET Remote Administrator? For the previous version 5.2.x changelog information on the ESET Forum, see What's New in 5.2.22?
  6. I think that the official box art (as it's called) is only available for download by approved ESET Partners (through a partner center site). If you are an ESET Partner or Reseller, then you can access box art, banners, and all other graphic collateral. Could I follow-up on and verify this? Yes, probably. I'll check. *Update: Yes, only ESET Partners who have signed an agreement have access to those assets.
  7. ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server Service Release 4.5.10023 has been released and is available for download. Changelog:Added: Infected emails in TNEF (winmail.dat) are no longer cleaned by deleting the entire TNEF content, but individual attachments are replaced by generic English text in an infected attachment Fixed: Fixed bug with attachment rules on Microsoft Exchange Server 2013. For more information or to download a copy, please visit the ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server product page or contact your local reseller, distributor or ESET office.
  8. Yes, I am told that it is fully compatible and you can install EMS from the Amazon appstore. * SOLN37 What operating systems are ESET products compatible with? (Home Users) has been updated to reflect compatibility with Fire OS.
  9. And, eh-hmm, highly rated help for ESET as well... "ESET provides exemplary help facilities in the form of two manuals and a knowledge base." "In our opinion, ESET's help facilities are second to none. Both of the manuals are very well written and organized, and use a very simple easy-to-read layout, well-illustrated with screenshots where appropriate. In keeping with its size and complexity, the User Guide is bookmarked and has a clickable contents page to make navigation easy. There is even a link in the document to download the most recent version, which we find very thoughtful. The Knowledge base articles and videos are of the same excellent standard."
  10. I don't think we have a table for the differences, but the new features are explained in the product NEWS release: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=NEWS291
  11. ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition for Mac OS X version 4.1.98 has been released and is available to download. Changelog: Fixed: Remote uninstallation via script “esets_remote_uninstall.sh” does not work Fixed: Hovering over some locations on the GUI results in high CPU Fixed: Mouse cursor and other elements flicker when hovering over the GUI For more information and to download the product, visit the ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition for Mac download page or contact your local reseller, distributor or ESET office. How do I remotely install ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition for Mac OS X? Attention: ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition for Mac OS X should only be managed using ESET Remote Administrator 5.
  12. Just going to the Policies page for CNET gives me a warning! But seriously, companies and vendors seem to hide behind legalese privacy statements and policies, but especially in this case where they seem to be in direct contradiction, isn't there some action that can be taken against them?
  13. I'm not sure about the technology behind the scan, that is, whether ESET scans first before Windows mounts it. If you haven't seen it yet, here is the relevant ESET Knowledgebase article: How do I configure ESET NOD32 Antivirus or ESET Smart Security to automatically scan removable media devices? hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2882
  14. I was able to extract some information from an ESET support agent. You are correct that ESET doesn't set specific RBLs by default. Reason: we don't want to flood those RBLs because most are for personal use only. No, the "maybe spam" (which is a score between 50 and 90, by default) cannot be tagged. Action is only take on actual spam (90 and over). We don't specifically encourage or discourage using a quarantine mailbox. However, using a quarantine mailbox requires much more intensive admin overview. You should also make sure that you're familiar with all the settings explained in the EMSX User Guide. Specific section of interest for you is probably: Section 3.3 Antispam protection (pages 31 -54) hxxp://download.eset.com/manuals/eset_emsx_45_userguide_enu.pdf DNSBL is discussed throughout and this is functionally similar to RBLs. To specify an additional DNSBL in EMSX (User Guide page 46): Open ESET Mail Security by clicking Start -> All Programs -> ESET -> ESET Mail Security -> ESET Mail Security. Press F5 on your keyboard to open Setup. Expand Antispam protection, click Antispam engine and then click Setup. Click Verification -> DNSBL. On the right-hand side of the window, click "Setup". Click "Add".
  15. While we wait for EMSX users to offer their "real life settings/best practices," I wanted to point out a Knowledgebase article that may help: How does Antispam scoring and email filtering work in ESET products? hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN3459 For EMSX specifically, see the bottom of that article and also the ESMX User Guide.
  16. https://forum.eset.com/topic/250-eset-has-blocked-my-site-what-to-do/?p=837#entry837 Submit the site to SOLN141 per the instructions and if it's a false positive, it will be addressed--regarding remediation, the lab will usually indicate the reason for blocking a site if it's PUA.
  17. Noted beancounter. We will post in the relevant thread(s) when products are available outside of North America. For EESA, https://forum.eset.com/forum/37-eset-products-for-mobile-devices/ as well as your local ESET web site will be updated (in your case hxxp://www.eset.com/au/), and other communication channels (social media, PR announcements etc.). Regarding when version 2.x will be available, the current, official word is that all the new business products "will roll out globally in the first quarter of 2015."
  18. No beancounter, I apologize that I got the two threads crossed (Home and Business). The information that I have shows that EESA (for business) version 2.0.93.0 (compatible with new version 6 business products) is compatible with Lollipop and that your issue is not a Known Issue. However, if you're using version 1.2.200.129 or earlier, I am not 100% certain about the compatibility.
  19. I am trying to get more official confirmation for you, but I am unaware of the specific limitation you mentioned with Lollipop.
  20. First, you should be testing new server software in a test environment and not in production. Next, you should become as familiar as you can with the new architecture and setup (it has changed considerably since v5). Last, this is supposed to be a North American release, but no one's looking... We published content that should be enough to answer your questions and get an installation going. See all the links in the following thread: "I need help installing ERA 6, what support resources are available?" https://forum.eset.com/topic/3764-the-next-generation-of-eset-remote-administrator-version-61-is-available-for-customers-in-north-america/#entry21884
  21. As far I know (and I perhaps know a little), Backblaze uses a Norton SSL certificate on their purchasing page (i.e., those "protected by xyz" statements on checkout), and this is the extent of the relationship.
  22. I recommend that you contact ESET Customer Care to speak with a malware specialist. hxxp://www.eset.com/us/about/contact/ Also, you could try the instructions in SOLN2505 -- My computer has a virus—what should I do? (Preliminary malware troubleshooting). Or more specifically, this could be associated with Rovnix, but as I said, you're best to just contact ESET support.
  23. You are correct that by selecting the browser you are excluding it and that can decrease your level of protection. This Knowledgebase article is for version 4.x of our product. Article SOLN2869 is the same issue for version 5.x. Both articles have an important message that indicate that newer versions of the product are available. This was an issue that we only saw with previous versions of ESET. Make sure that you are using the latest version of ESET by following the instructions in the Knowledgebase article linked to in the important note, which I have included below: Upgrade to the latest versionMany of the issues you might be experiencing with your ESET product have been resolved in the latest version. We highly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version: How do I upgrade to the latest version? Remember: Version 5.x and later of ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 Antivirus is not suitable for use with ESET server products (for example, ESET Remote Administrator). Check your version here. p.s. This is an old issue that I've been dealing with for a long time! I hope, one day, to put it to rest...
  24. Once again, as Arakasi stated, you shouldn't rely on a detailed SI analysis on the forum and should follow the instructions in SOLN141 to submit your log to ESET. Also, as shown in Arakasi's reply, SI's can contain personally identifiable information that you may not have intended to share with everyone on a public forum. As such, I have removed the attached SI from the previous post.
  25. mohamed_zezo, per Marcos, you should submit your SysInspector log per the instructions in SOLN141 along with a link to this topic.
