  1. In Addition I´ve tested this in a Virtualbox - I´ve connected the integrated Webcam to the virtual machine, on activation of the cam, ESET Displays nothing. Are there any whitelisted programs, which have the permission to activate the cam automatically, whithout query the user?
  2. Same here on two Notebooks. One is an older Dell Latitude E6510 with first i7 Serie (I think it is from 2012/2013), one is a Acer black nitro (~2 years). On both is Webcam protection not working. I´m sure, that this was working sometime in the past. And now, the cameras can be activated and ESET is not reporting anything. It is not the new Hardware, which ESET is not recognizing....
  3. So than you can report an issue to Microsoft. Because it shows the icon of Windows Defender delayed, too. Strange thing.....
  4. See my comments above in blue. I don´t think, that these are things, which you have to overrate. These are IMHO bits and Bobs and you can repair these on yourself.
  5. I think, that the later appearing trayicon only is a aesthetic Operation, because the Service of EIS is running in Background Long before...
  6. I´ve 3 Szenarios: 1. new installed Windows 10 - without previous installed AV (exc. MS-AV). The key is after Installation of EIS present. 2. updatet from ESS 10: The key is present. 3. in my VirtualBox: ESS was installed before, but it was deinstalled for a while. A new Installation from EIS: the key is present. The only, what is equal to all installations: the key is present after Installation from EIS 11 and the OS is Win 10 x64 Prof. The machines are: 2 diff. Notebooks and 1 VirtualBox. Not the same Hardware all around. PS: in my linked Forum, a user was taking a repair-installation of EIS (because he has deleted the key manually) and the key is here again after the Installation. I think, the key in the registry is definitively and fix created while installing EIS.
  7. What do you mean with "It should not be present"? It is present and my Installation is not the only one, where this appears. You can see here in "hxxp://www.rokop-security.de/index.php?showtopic=24810" (sorry for the link in an other Forum), that this is not a single case. So, what should we do with this registry-key? Delete? Waiting? It is not a strong bug, but it nerves, that the command window pops up on every start of Windows.
  8. What is the command HKLM:Run egui cmd /c /q ""C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Security\ecmd.exe"" "/launch /hide" in the Autostart of Windows doing? This is new since EIS 11. New is too, that the tray icon is loading delayed and not on systemstart. The command above has nothing to do with the trayicon, because if the command is deactivated, the trayicon is proper appearing.
  9. No. There is no driver conflict. I can reproduce it on all my workstations (from me, my kids, my working-notebook). These are 3 Desktops and 2 Notebooks in various hardware-constellations and various software-constellations. All drivers are uptodate, I´ve controlled first. And older ESS (6 or 7) hasn´t this problem. But after updating on ESS/EAV 8 there is the problem present. So, is it a driver-problem with ESS/EAV 8 only? Then I think it is rather a problem of version 8. @Arakasi: what is "(OP)", I can nothing embark on it.....?
  10. On further tests from me, enabling of the pre-released updates makes no change to the slow downloadrates. Are there any new findings to the problem? Is there any solution in sight?

  12. There is no change when I remove the TcpAckFrequency. But I think, there is a change to improved webspeed when I use the beta-updates. Are there made changes to the code? This is not reproducable to 100% (thru lack of time on my site) and can be a hallucination from me.
  13. I know....thanks. But why there is a sideeffect with other downloads e.g. from MS, that I don´t know.
  14. Update to my previous post: it is definitively that the change from ESS to EAV has no effect due the slowdowns. I´ve rechanged the TcpAckFrequency from 2 to 1 and the slowdowns are here in EAV now. I´ve NOT tested, if ESS and the registry-entries set to "2" will repair the problem of slowdowns, only tested in EAV! The registry-entries "2" have triggered a problem while downloading a bigger file from Microsoft (SQLServer), so that I only have a extreme slow download rate from MS-Server (download should take several hours). With rechange the TcpAckFrequency to "1", the download runs in normal speed. That was reproducable. So, with these handicaps I couldn´t leave the registry-entries set to "2", because I can´t appreciate which other sideeffects these settings have.
  15. New update. I´ve changed from ESS to EAV. What should I say. The problem with the slow connection is gone on both machines where I´ve changed. I´ve changed the registryentries from TcpAckFrequendy to 2, too. I´ll send it per PM to you.
  16. Yes, I will do. But I can´t before saturday, because I´m short of time today and tomorrow and I´m not at home before. Perhaps I can manage it tomorrow during work, but I can´t promise it.
  17. On my machine the update from v6 - v7 - v8 did not solve the problem. I think it was luck, that the problem was solved on your machine. Perhaps, when I install the v8 several times, the problem is gone at any installation and the next time I will uninstall/install it is still here....
  18. I´ve a drop of speed on internetconnections too. I´ve 150 Mbit down without ESS/NOD or with disabled webfilter, but after enabling the webfilter, the speed drops to ~70-90 Mbit down. Reproducable on various PC´s in my homenetwork (childrens PC, Notebook, total of 5 PC´s), Installed is Win7/Win8.1, the only AV ever installed was ESET v7. The problem exists regardless, if I install the ESS fresh or use a over installation on v7, or use a Wifi or a wired connection to my router. Interesting is, that waledakmal the problem has solved with updating versions from v6 above. That will I try today evening, when I at home...
