Hi, I'm Tuxianna (not my real name) and I'm here because I'm a senior citizen and not very techy.

I'm trying to find directions to import my Google Chrome favorites folder into ESET. I have a desk top and am using Windows 7.

Is there anyone who can help me with directions? I'd be most appreciative. Thanks!

Hello Tuxianna and welcome to the Forum. I would suggest that you review "How to Post" https://forum.eset.com/howtopost/

to get some posting tips and then start a new topic under the correct heading/section. Not many Forum members review the "Introduce yourself" section, hence no response to your request.

     Regards,

    Tom

With the upgrade to EIS v12.0.27.0, I've (and others) lost the auto-update ability after connecting to the internet (non-dial up). My situation is when I start up in the morning, I do not automatically connect to the internet (I use at&t U-Verse). With v11, it always checked for updates AFTER I connected to my internet connection.

    See https://forum.eset.com/topic/17440-eset-12-does-not-update-automatically-at-computer-startup/?do=findComment&comment=86400

When I do start up in the morning, EIS does check for updates, but I am not yet connected to the internet.

    Regards.

It appears this feature has been reinstated with v12.1.31.0. Thank you ESET.

    Regards,

    Tom

Hello all, I'm Matt. I have tested a ton of AVs over the years, but always keep coming back to ESET because it's reliable and it has never given me any issues.  I heard about it a long time ago from Wilders and never looked back.

Hello Matt glad you joined the Forum (again)^_^.

    But I'm getting a feeling of déjà vu...see https://forum.eset.com/topic/10174-introduce-yourself/?do=findComment&comment=29068

ISHOULI, this is an English language forum (except in the Slovak & Czech sections). You'll get a better response posting in English.

Also, I'm not sure if chrlshlmn will look for your response to a post he made over 5 years ago .

  9. Welcome to the Forum Kirov_Airline. We are glad you are here:). You can always find someone running a sale on ESET software (even direct from ESET), especially around Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I do not know what online vendors are available to you in France, but I am sure that are some.

Let me know if you know of a great cheese vendor in France (like Androuet in Paris) who will sell me some fine French cheese at cost and ship it to me here in the States (for free):P:D.

    Best regards,

    Tom

I am a teacher (and as of recently, an IT administrator) at a small private school in the US.

I found the ESET Security forum while trying to reach a representative on Saturday.  Our Server runs Windows Server 2016, and our devices run anything from Windows 7 to Windows 10.  We initially purchased ESET Endpoint Antivirus (Basic), but have upgraded to ESET Endpoint Antivirus Advanced (or Premium, don't remember the exact wording).

I have no formal training in IT, and so am learning as I go.

Hello and welcome jastirm. Sorry I missed your post on the first go-round (I must have has a senior moment:rolleyes:). Anyway glad you are here.;)

This is a good place to learn something new each day. At least that's my goal!:P
