  1. So which is the list that ERA will check against in the 3rd party Antivirus software uninstall? Version 16 is not on the list. Probably did not know the correct uninstall string to take it out thus the false positive from the ERA.
  2. Hi I tried using the task "uninstall 3rd party AV software" in ERA 6.3 accordingly ( to the but unable to uninstall Kaspersky Internet Security 16.0.1.445 but in the ERA it shows Successfully Finished. Is this remover is will check against the list in hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3527/?
  3. After following the steps in hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN3747prior upgrading to the Win 10. After upgraded to Win 10, Windows download and install new update on their Windows Defender. After that, ESET Endpoint Security failed to load successfully. The Fireware, IDS and Botnet Protection become non-functional. Web Access Protection also non-functional resulting Anti-Phising not working. Tried to repair the installation, removed and reinstall but still fail.
  4. Installed EES version 5.0.2229 over in 500 computers, in random, some machines couldn't update the inboxes. Sending email is possible. The user IT admin need to rebuild the OST (more than 2GB) and complainted it never happen before prior installing EES. The incident do not have a pattern and it is a random case, so hard for us to pin point the exact trigger point. Unable to collect logs as the issue happen randomly, and once the OST is rebuild, everything is fine. More than 20 PC is affected
  5. Thanks for the response. It turn out the client's computers was infested with Trojans and viruses before installing ESET. We are now more convinced that their internal settings and infestation causes the entire episodes. For the Port 443, could it be used as backdoor which is commonly used to bypass the corporate firewall. I will call this a close case. Thanks for your help.
  6. For ESET Endpoint Security - Anti Spam features Users have been using the Outlook Junk Email settings to block the spammers. Is there anyway to import the list from the Junk Email list of Block Senders into ESET User's blacklist? User just switch from Symantec and been complaining that they are getting more spam mails than ever after installing ESET Endpoint Security. Please advise way to improve the spam mail features in ESET Endpoint Security. Please help....
  7. we have tried disabled the "Disable checking upon inbox content change" and apparently things went well. We manage to deploy to hundreds of computers with no sweat. 3 computers came back with problem - unable to sync with Outlook when ESET is up and running. User ran the diagnose and discover that having problem with port 443. It went on corrupting the inbox again. They have to set up and re-sync the email, that wasted about 24 hours. Once they disable ESET Endpoint Security, the problem didn't occur. Please help.
  8. The customer host their email with Office365, and using Symantec Enterprise Vault to journal and archive their emails. We install with ESET Endpoint Security 5.0.2229.1
  9. Thanks for all the reply. Appreciate it. The trouble is the case happen randomly and we are having hard time to determine if the computer is potentially with the problem. @marcos, further investigation, we found disabling integration with MS Outlook could work. We have tried new installation and disable the integration with Outlook. We also discovered they are using Symantec Enterprise Vault. Not sure if this could be the problem. What is the disadvantages disabling the integration with outlook? @arakasi, they have completed the migration more than a year ago while on Symantec Endpoint. @bbahes, i probably want to try out changing "Disable checking upon inbox content change" option.
  10. Having some trouble when installing ESET Endpoint Security to computers that previously installed with Symantec Endpoint. After complete the installations, the Outlook failed to download the email. After a few test run, apparently the *.ost file is corrupted. Install EES in a Windows 7 with Ms Office 2010 without Web Control and Personal Firewall. User subscribe to Office365. After installed EES, user unable to receive email from Outlook 2010. The outlook status failed to download email. suspect *.ost file acting weird and corrupted after that. Install over 10 computers and out of the 10, 2 have the similar problem. This is bad when we are prepare to install over 500 computers Backup outlook data file *.ost Delete email profile and recreate a new profile. Restore the *ost file. Resync the email, all other folders back to working condition, except inbox. Inbox download email progress bar remained as "downloading" for a very long time. Uninstall ESET, restart outlook and recreate profile, using back the same *ost file, still the same. Last try, delete profile, recreate the profile, recreate the *.ost file and can only download email in normal. Reinstall EES then everything back normal. Is that mean EES is messing with the *.ost file? Have you guys have any problem with it?
