  1. Hi Marcos, is there a way to disable real time protection via the device on which the AV is running rather than via a policy? Reason for asking is that i will have instances whereby a laptop cannot connect to the policy server for a few days and I need to disable the AV on it temporarily directly via that laptop rather than via policy. I looked for the service on the laptop via systemctl but couldn't see the relevant service etc to disable. Is this possible? Thanks
  2. Getting an error when running the EFS install file on VM appliance I have, am getting: "Download is performed unsandboxed as root as file '/root/efs-8.1.818.0.x86_64.deb' couldn't be accessed by user '_apt'. - pkgAcquire::Run (13: Permission denied)" Can you give me any pointers? The box has no other user accounts on it other than root hence doing the install as root.
  3. Just to clarify, to renable it can I just re-assign the device back to a policy that has RealTime protection enabled?
  4. Hi, Is there a way to disable the AV on Linux EndPoint on a Linux end user PC via PROTECT? I want to be able to disable and then re-enable later on on a specific end user device. Thanks in advance
  5. Sorted, didn't appreciate I had to install a central management console / solution. Utilised an on-prem VM of PROTECT. Now i just need to figure out how to apply folder excusions in a policy, back to the forums and documentation I go
  6. Thanks Marcos, is that via ESET Protect Cloud? At the moment my business dashboard says I don't have any valid licenses for ESET Protect Cloud. If not, how do I access ESET Protect? For info, we only have Linux laptops, no servers etc. From what I can see, the ESET Protect download is only available for Windows servers??? Thanks
  7. Hi, i have EndPoint AntiVirus 8.1.5.0 installed on Ubuntu and need to set up some exceptions and change default actions on detection but cannot see any way of doing so - it was easy to do so in my previous version of ESET Nod32. The only options I appear to have are: Admin Update Agent Synchronisation About Protection Status I can't see any mention of policies or configuration etc anywhere, not in the desktop app or within my business account dashboard. Can anyone give me an idea of how to setup exceptions (folders not to be scanned etc) and also how to alter the default actions when potential threats are detected? Thanks
