I recommend to open a support ticket to have it checked, provide the with the configuration of the proxy, policy of the agent and the log from the proxy to have it checked.

Yes, you are correct the Bridge is compatible with Endpoint later than version 10. For more you can find in our documentation in case of any further questions https://help.eset.com/ebe/1/en-US/ .

since version of EP10 and later we have introduced the ESET Bridge as mentioned per @santoso, I would strongly recommend you start using this one as this is the replacement for Apache Proxy. There will be a release pretty soon, where we will bring additional functionalities.

I recommend that you migrate to ESET Bridge.

We use ESSET Secure Authentication at our company and we're changing all of our customers from previous solutions (hardtokens + software) to ESET Secure Authentication. It's easy to install, configure, manage and use and it's much more safer to have a second factor!

as @Marcos mentioned we do not support the CentOs 7 at the present, however, we should bring the compatibility for this in the next release version of the product as it has been requested quite few times by our customers.

we are currently doing a second round of testing as some issues have ocurred in the first one so once I have a stable build which should go to release I will try to contact you and provide you the build before the release date, however, at the present we hope to release the new version around end of October and beginning of November (that's the anticipated date depending on the testing result so it can be earlier or later but I will try to arrange the build to you before the release as I have promised to Jim if that's okay if you?

Yes we have seen that for some users the live-installer is non-functional we are fixing this at the present. There is an issue with the epi version which we are using for the live-installer. For now I will advice you to use the standard installer which can be found next do the live-installer like it can be seen on the screenshot.

Once you have the installer please select the standalone installation and proceed with selection of components which you would like to instal on the endpoint machine.

I was consulting this morning your situation and the recommendation is following:
The custom folder needs to be created and also accessible by the eset-bridge user before applying the policy. The eset bridge user needs access rights to that foler with sudo chown -R eset-bridge:eset-bridge /DATA After applying the policy the Bridge server needs restart: sudo systemctl restart EsetBridge.service If anything please do let me know and hopefully this will revoke the issue you are currently experiencing.

@Simon_Weel in a short answer no, but let me try to put together a longer answer as well for you to understand it.
When you install the component on your local computer it allows the 2FA for any user who is within the users of the product or the domain of your users which are allowed to authenticate on that specific computer. However, you can allow non 2fa users to access the computer if you wish so even if the component is installed on the computer.
Hope it helps if anything just feel free to follow-up.

As far as I know, you need software on any workstation that you want MFA on.  This is true for ESET and other providers as well.

I'm not sure how the Duo has it but I can explain that the ESET Secure Authentication needs to be installed on the clients computer in order to connect with the Server side, meaning that the Server knows which computer has to use 2FA against it.
So in general you install Server and after you install the component on the clients side and during the first initial set-up they exchange secrects.
