On prem install of Eset Protect Virtual Appliance v 10.0.2133 suddenly won't allow login get error below: Login failed: Connection has failed with state "loginConnectionStateNotConnected" Webmin works but show MySQL not running Error! MySQL is not running on your system - database list could not be retrieved. MySQL error message The full MySQL error message was : connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)' Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' exists! trace.log shows 2023-07-11 05:53:11 Error: CDatabaseModule [Thread 7f3a29f3e740]: Probing database connection failed. I have a /root/era-backup.sql backup but with the MySQL server running I am not sure how to restore. Any suggestions ? John.

Hi Martin Thanks for the response. I did use Webmin to update all the CentOS packages as they were reporting out of date. I just ran a 'Repair ESET Management Agent Connection' on Webmin and it seems to have resolved the issue for now. Thanks John

New Install of Eset Protect v 8.0.2216.0 virtual appliance on ESXi. The setup is all working OK with the exception being that the 'Last Connected Time' for the virtual appliance itself is dated when it was first installed and it has not connected since. This means that I cannot use the web console to update the ESET Protect server to 8.0.2225.0 (see attached) as the tasks never run. I could update manually but I would like manage the protect server via the web console. Cheers John
