Okidoki; But that policy changed recently? Cause I am quite sure this was not the case earlier?
But its OK. So now we learned to look at our install task names better

Description: in ESET Endpoint Security, in the firewall rule settings, when selecting an application, add the ability to use a template
Detail: many network applications change their path when updated, such as WhatsApp, Opera's update checker, and many others.
    C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Programs\Opera\95.0.4635.46\opera_autoupdate.exe C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Programs\Opera\94.0.4606.65\opera_autoupdate.exe
The template could look, for example, as follows:
    C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Programs\Opera\<n>.<n>.<n>.<n>\opera_autoupdate.exe

This has been supported for some time already. Please read https://help.eset.com/protect_admin/10.0/en-US/agent_autoupgrade.html for more information.

Description: "does not contain" filter is missing in ESET PROTECT's report template filter settings
Detail: In ESET PROTECT, there is a rather limited choice in the report template filter settings.
For example, it is not possible to create a filter condition to exclude the occurrence of any string ("does not contain" condition).

Please consider adding firewall module for ESET File Security - as for me the very same module (as it exists in Endpoint products) would be enough. Managing firewalls centrally from ESMC for both desktops and servers makes perfect sense. I believe this feature would be widely used.
I would also forward this request my my local distributors and would like to ask other ESET business users to do the same. Thanks in advance!

Description:    Firewall protection functionality for ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows servers
Detail:                With the various attack vectors growing along with many application specific restrictions required it would be greatly appreciated if we had the same firewall protections built into "ESET Endpoint Security" client in the server platform aka "ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server" client.  This has always been a winning edge for ESET solution in the enterprise amongst the competition and is a shame that this functionality is NOT within the server product today.
Use Case:           Recently we were looking to enable a server as a jump box for a given specific application but only to connect to specific servers.  Currently can only be completed on a Windows 10 machine since the functionality for firewall capabilities does NOT exist within ESET built-in application and we DO NOT use Microsoft Windows firewall as we have centralized on ESET for firewall management.
ESET Endpoint Security (Firewall protection) noted below: (as of v8.1.2031.0)

ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Servers (NO Firewall protection) noted below: (as of v8.0.12003.0)

The Endpoint firewall has some pretty good features when it comes to zones/profiles/rule matching. It would be a great addition to the Windows Server products since the Windows firewall falls short for advanced scenarios such as multi-homed machines.
I would use it for servers, even if it came in a separate installer, with a giant hazard label that said it wasn't stable enough for servers, and was entirely unsupported by ESET.

In that case what we need is an option to filter out that information on the PROTECT side. Or a filter for alerts in general. Having to wait several years for OSes to change is not a solution.

Details: On the clients we can disable this warning, need options to hide on ESET Protect too.

labynko received kudos from mathisbilgi in Configuration of Micro Program Component Update (MicroPCU) for a Mirror Environment.
A month (if not more) has passed since the release date of ESET Endpoint Security 8.1.2031.0 and it is still not clear how the MicroPCU update mechanism works and whether it works at all.
