Thanks a lot - I've managed to add those processes and verified with eicar (turning real-time off, put to source folder, executed backup) that it is working. Nevertheless, is there a possibility to see which files are currently being scanned by eset (or record a log for certain time)?

Hi there, Using 7.4.1600 I can exclude processes under Settings/File Protection/Excluded Processes I e.g. listed my Backup Software Arq but CPU usage for Eset (especially com.eset.endpoint) still goes up when backup tasks run. How to fully exclude Eset from all that belongs to tools such as Backup / Cloud Sync etc. ?

OK then my title should be TLS not SSL But I guess you know what I mean. But your answer is not the explanation. The feature is still not there although it was communicated that it will be included in v7. It took ages to have v7 ready and then ages to have a config menu included and now ages to give the additional features. Cyber Security Pro is still not on the new v7 architecture and and. This is my complaint. Not a discussion wether it is SSL or TLS nor if it is useful or not

I do not understand your answer. The feature is promised long time and is still not there. That's my only complaint. I do not even require full decryption but a warning page when blockin a malicious HTTPS site would be the minimum instead of a browser error page.

Any update when such is being released? I want to re-activate port 443 for being protected against phishing for HTTPS sites, which is currently not possible.

Had to delete old device / licence which was not possible last time Screenshots for logging: Maybe just a translation error from English to German? Ok got it. Yes, it is similarly detected to the zip files. But you cannot just click in the browser. This way it is displayed as a web page which is not detected due to the missing HTTPS scan. You will have to right click and download the file.

Quarantine seems to work as well. But when restored, malware is not detected any longer when the file is opened. Don't know the expected behaviour.

That’s also for me the most negative. For macOS, Eset is really not the fastest in improving for Home users. Others may have a more modern approach. Regarding SSL decryption: This would be a real game changer and outstanding feature (although the activation of such is controversely discussed resulting in pros and cons). I do not know any other big named professional company who has implemented it, except Kaspersky (in a basic way). Do you? I also know of Avast and AVG, but would not change to those.

Is it possible to give a more exact release date? One it was end of 2022. is it delayed?

That's not really the solution to enforce such for other users... As I understand, it's not possible to automate such with Eset then...

You're right. But there would be the possibility to set a scan limit in the real-time scanner. There is already a section "Archive Scan Limits" It definitely triggers an on-demand scanner. It is the same as when you right-click and "open with" ESET Cyber Security.app".... Can this be changed to use "scan&clean" instead like available in the context menu? Or is there a terminal command that I can use?

Just noted that Eset does not scan new archive files that are e.g. downloaded via Browser. Is there a possibility to enable archive scanning for real-time protection? Otherwise, I noted that macOS provides "folderactions" that can be configured via automator. I can configure that the Eset-App opens specific file types that are newly created in the download folder. This scans the new deined file extensions such as zip files, but does not automatically clean such. Can such be changed to "scan&clean" instead of just "scan"? Thanks a lot!

Because I have not listed it. The list is manually filled by me. It would better to allow defining which applications should be scanned rather than exclude everything that should not be scanned. I want to exclude everything except Safari. But as explained, even when entered in the list and thus excluded, it may be that ESET is still scanning the traffic as CPU goes up for com.eset.network when opening one of the applications. Why is it then possible to enable/deactivate protocol filtering when it is a crucial part of Web Access Protection?

Could you please shortly explain what you mean? General/Exclusions/Web and Email: "Applications or IP addresses removed from scanning" Further, is it desired that when I deactivate the "Enable HTTP protocol checking", but leave Web Access and anti spyware protection on, internet connection is blocked because the Network Protection Proxy can't connect any longer? I want only phishing protection....
