  1. Before you begin, no this isn't a bashing thread. I'm just legitimately curious. When it comes to Anti-Virus discussions in buildapc and pcmasterrace, I always see ESET brought up and I am legitimately curious if its really all that its cracked up to be? At the moment? I'm using Kaspersky Pure 3.0, I haven't updated to Kaspersky Total Security 2015 because of the fact their support page needs a ton of work, I dunno if I can still do scheduled scans on it and apparently they have removed the notification that tells you once the computer is booted that the protection is enabled. I'm pulling the trigger on ordering the parts for my next computer in September, but eventually the license on my Kaspersky is going to expire, and I'm not sure if its worth hurting myself by keeping with the old version of Kaspersky until they get off their and update their suppor page or switching to ESET. For the record, I'm Australian so I'm hoping they'll sell to Australians. Here's what I wanna know, do they have any browser extensions like how Kaspersky Pure does after Chrome forced all extensions to have to at least exist in the App Store in order to protect their users? How good is the scanning? How good is the resource usage? Are there any possible issues I might run into? How difficult is navigating the interface? Can I run scheduled scans? On Kaspersky PURE, I have all scans set to full on Deep Scan, and schedule a Vulnerability Scan every Saturday, Full Scan every Sunday and a Critical Area Scan every night at 6PM? Do those kinds of 30 Minute After Boot Rootkit Scan (aka Startup Scan), Full Scan, Vulnerability and Critical Areas scan exist in ESET? How hard is it to scan individual files? I typically right click and perform a scan on every file I end up downloading through my browser with Kaspersky cause yay context menu integration. But can I do that in ESET? How expensive is it? But yeah, basically those are my queries.
