    I think you need to review your security policies.
    Why are you allowing users to install random pieces of software? If they require specific software then they should be requesting it. You should also remind people if their computers are found to have unauthorised software then they will face whatever punishment your company deems necessary.
    The same goes for computers being locked when they are not present. Your policy should require that if a user steps away from their computer then they are responsible for locking it. If the computer won't lock then they need to report it so that it can be fixed.
    Relying on a screensaver to lock a computer is a last line of defence. An auditor would very likely ask you why users don't lock computers themselves.

    I enabled HTTP/3 scanning on my ESSP Win 10 x(64) Pro 22H2 installation and can ping w/o issue.
    Then there is the question of what does HTTP/3 scanning have to do with ICMP processing?

    Try running he ESET uninstaller in safe mode. See this link: https://support.eset.com/en/kb2289-uninstall-eset-manually-using-the-eset-uninstaller-tool.

    Just to add to Aryeh's well-put answer, I would like to react to
    A country's international position very much depends on the current government. Up until the recent elections in late 2023, Slovakia's government was very pro-Ukraine since day one of the invasion.
    Anyway, since its inception, ESET has seen several governments in Slovakia, leaning to either side of the political spectrum - and regardless of the government at any given time, ESET has always maintained its core values and principles, which are also reflected in the links provided by Aryeh.
    We will now lock this topic, as politics have no place in this forum and tend to create heated discussions, but we wanted to provide you with accurate information to address your concern.

    Description: Remove device restart requirement after each upgrade of ESET Server Security
    Detail: After each ESET Server Security upgrade a device restart is required.  For new installs a restart is not required. I would like to see upgrades have the same behavior in that a restart not be required. Thank you.

    Honestly it is not fair to blame ESET if you purchase a license from an unauthorized seller who sells licenses to several users for instance and the licenses are then canceled. The solution is to ask for a refund and purchase one from an authorized distributor or reseller.

    LesRMed gave kudos to itman in A Workaround Solution For Azure Code Signing Requirement For Windows OS End-of-Life Versions
    Further analysis yields there is a way to provide to provide ACS support for Win 10 1903+ versions. Microsoft has removed all ACS support KB's for Win 10 versions prior to 1903 from the Win Catalog other than LTSB versions.
    If you refer to Micosoft's article on ACS support: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/topic/kb5022661-windows-support-for-the-azure-code-signing-program-4b505a31-fa1e-4ea6-85dd-6630229e8ef4 , you will note there is no KB listed  for Win 10 1903. Likewise if you try to install the KB listed for Win 10 1909, that won't work either because it is for LTSB version only.
    However if you access KB5005611 which is the ACS support KB listed for Win 10 2004, 20H2, and 21H1, it states the update applies to all Win 10 versions 1903 and later;

    Select the version 21H1 update applicable to your OS version.
    For additional reference you can refer to the Sophos ACS article: https://support.sophos.com/support/s/article/KB-000045019?language=en_US
    Finally and important, you need to verify that this certificate,Microsoft Identity Verification Root Certificate Authority 2020, exists in your Win root CA store using certmgr.exe. If it does not, you will need to download and install the certificate manually. Refer to the above linked Microsoft ACS article on how to do that.

    LesRMed gave kudos to itman in Install Failing on 2008R2 Servers with ACS Support
    The anomaly here is on Win 10, these KB updates won't even start installing. Therefore,  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET\ESET Security\CurrentVersion\Info\ACSSupport key never gets created. I attribute this to the age of Win Server 2008 R2 and that Win Updating was in a developing state then. Also and very much evident is Eset never tested that these Microsoft KB's actually worked on EOL and EOS OS versions.
    Same here. I am "throwing in the towel" on the ACS support baloney since there is no way to implement it on EOL and EOS OS versions w/o ESU.

    LesRMed gave kudos to itman in Azure Code Signing Requirement Clarification
    Eset needs to modify its posting: https://support-eol.eset.com/en/trending_weol2023_10_2022.html to note the following.
    In regards to reference to required KB updates to support Azure Code Signing: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/kb5022661-windows-support-for-the-azure-code-signing-program-4b505a31-fa1e-4ea6-85dd-6630229e8ef4 , these updates can only be applied;
    1. If the OS version is not end-of-life status.
    2. If OS version is end-of-life status , it has extended support status.
    In all other cases, these KB updates will fail. In this instance, the only alternative available is to upgrade the OS to a supported version if end-of-service status; purchase extended support if that option is still available; or purchase a new OS license for a supported version,

    I had the same issue on two of my computers that were on 1909. I was able to resolve it by using the media creation tool here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10. Click the Download Now and do the upgrade (you don't actually have to create the media).

    There is no policy that disables the notification. I had the warnings showing before I started all of this, and I still have two laptops that are showing the warnings (that I haven't tackled yet).

    You're fortunate that the Eset forum is tolerate of such activity. You would have been banned long ago on most security forums.

    It appears "the message is not getting across here."
    It also appears no one has bothered to read the posted link Microsoft article which states;
    No one is forcing anyone to upgrade their Win OS version. That said, it is imperative to apply the appropriate KB update depending on Win version. If you don't, you will find Microsoft Defender real-time protection running side-by-side with Eset's.

    If you start to monitor IP addresses out of context to their source process, you could suffer a malware paranoid breakdown.
    Microsoft maintains IPv4/IPv6 backbone networks all over the world. This is the network traffic you are observing. As far as attempting to block all Windows telemetry network traffic, it is an effort in futility.

    Hi dears.
    this week many of our servers become yellow in ESET Protect console with this alert :
    Your operating system is outdated
    You're using an outdated version of your operating system. To receive the latest product updates and stay protected in the future, upgrade your operating system. See your options: https://support-eol.eset.com
    As you can see at the Screenshot attache " Windows 2012 - 2019 "
    and this alert can not be disable in Application status !!!

    What can we do for these many yellow servers that most of them are in isolated network !!
    Why these alerts can not be off from application statuses . These are very annoying.

    Best Regards

    I understand Windows 8 and WIndows 7, Windows 2008 server and probably 2012 triggering the OS out of date(BTW ESET...i dont need my AV vendor telling me the obvious and no way to turn off the warning cuttering up my admin console)...but why are some of my 2016 server triggering this message?  What exactly is ACS support and what needs to be installed to meet the criteria?

    I believe the truism "Common sense is not that common" is applicable here.
    You download a cracked game installer from a torrent web site. What else would you expect than to get nailed by nasty malware.

    Another example of malware distributed via cracked game installers a while back that trashed a bunch of AV solutions is Crackonosh: https://www.tomsguide.com/news/cracked-games-hacked-pcs .
    I have no sympathy whatsoever for people using cracked software who get infected as a result of such use.

    I'm not sure what the size limit is on the forum, but anything uploaded here can only be seen by ESET staff. The other option is to upload it to a file sharing service and drop @Marcos a PM with access instructions.
