  1. I have downloaded and tried to run this several times, but I can see nothing happening. It is far too complicated. I JUST WANT TO PUSH A BUTTON AND HAVE IT HAPPEN! It keeps asking for things of which I have no clue, or have run before. I just want it to work. I have been using ESET for more than 20 years... It used to be easier!
  2. I found all of my computers under (All) computers. But I cannot move them to Dynamic Groups. What needs to be done. Do the separate computers need to have an Agent of some sort. Where is that agent? How do I put it on my machines, or do I have to go to each one one at a time to install this?
  3. The Broadway LION aka Br. Elias from Assumption Abbey in Richardton ND. If I can ever tame this network I will go back to building model trains! broadwaylion.com
  4. Greetings from the LION. I am a big furry mammal of the feline persuasion. I have big furry paws that can cover three or four keys at a time. And given my hoary old age I cannot see the monitors, nor understand your instructions (in the help section) as well as I used to. Now I have been running eSet products on our network for more than 25 years and used to have whatever management console you used way back then. Specifically I can not seem to deploy and connect my workstations and servers to the ESMC. There seem to be more circles there than in a three ring circus. Now I do have many programs that seem to have no problem taking an inventory of my entire network without any intervention from my big furry paws. Among these are SpiceWorks, Slitheris, Advance IP Scanner, NEWT Professional, Tree Size Professional and so many others. Ergo I see no reason why eset can not make this discovery without any help from me. Alas, but it does require such intervention. It would seem reason able to be able to find simple instructions (A BOOK WOULD HELP!) that would guide me through your steps. The online help is any thing but helpful, maybe because my feline eyes will jump to any link that moves or looks tasty, and I never get to read the whole thing in a manner that I can digest. (Us cats eat only meat, and not vegetables.) Perhaps there is some kind soul (or zookeeper) out there who can help guide me through the steps one by one until I can get this monstrosity to work for me, after all, I do have a whole network running on v6 or older, and things should really be put up so that I can manage them. PS I have 40 MS Win 10 Pro workstations, and 5 MS Win Server 2019 servers. A few of the work stations are still 32 bit but most are 64 bit. It seems to make a difference to you, but I can assure you that NEWT Professional can tell all of these apart and could load the correct upgrades to them if it were in the business of uploading upgrades.
  5. Thanks... I finally loaded ESMC to a different server. Now I have different issues, but will start a new ticket for that,
  6. LION has been using licenses as old as that. In my ESET folder where I keep all of my downloads I have a .txt file that has all of this information in it. I have never had trouble using these license numbers or even the old username and password combination. Sometimes it pays to keep all of your eggs in one basket, presuming that you have these eggs backed up! GRRRrrr... So Why did this LION have write to get a password reset? Even LIONS follow knot their own advise : ( ROAR
  7. There is no firewall inside of outward facing firewall. Localhost would not go there, but stays on this particular machine. I did not see Tomcat listed in the services, running or otherwise. How can I change the port on ESMC if I cannot open it?\ Thanks ET
  8. well, localhost/era/ did work, the only problwem is that it opened Spiceworks and not the eSet Management Console... Help needed, Thanks, Elias
  9. Tomcat Server does not seem to be loaded... I can not see it in services. I was trying to load this for the first time, but I was also doing some windows upgrades that have not completed properly. It seems to be hanging up on loading SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 3 GDR (KB 4532095 Thanks
  10. I guess I have to start with the basics: Unable to connect Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. Apache is running but I can get no further than this.
