  1. But it's really strange that the "Deny" button is disabled. Maybe there is a pre-defined rule to allow it, but this would be quite strange too.
  2. However 64bit Chrome should be supported too. What happens if you disable the web protection temporarily? Does it shows any error message or something like that?
  3. Sorry, for your inconveniences. As Marcos said try to clean your update cache and then try to reinstall ESET NOD32. Here is a detailed knowledgebase article about it: Undocumented Serious Error and cannot update the virus signature database in ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus
  4. @thexfile Are you in the US? I haven't checked it. Maybe there is a problem and they haven't adjusted the price yet.

  6. There is a funny promotion from ESET UK running currently, where you can win some ESET licenses when you put ESET Andy in your favourite game and submit it to ESET. To do this ESET offered very nice pictures of the ESET robot/android. They are all in a high resolution and have a transparent background. (You can get about 12 PNG pictures.) Download alternative download link (ZIP) Edit: Changed alternative download link, because the old hoster added PUA to their site, which was detected by ESET. Edit2: Changed Mega download link to new site used.
  7. Is this by design? Do you really really want to prohibit visitors to download attachments in this forum?
  8. About the main issue: Maybe it's quite simple: When installing a new ESS version over an old version normally all settings are adopted. Also the firewall settings. So maybe it's just that the rules you want to create are already created. You could have a look into the rules and zones editor to see it.
  9. NOD32 v8 is exactly the same as NOD32 2015 (you could call "2015" a "marketing name" for v8). NOD32 v7 is the version before v8, but I suggest you to use the newest version 8. Of course you can upgrade to the newest version (or even downgrade to an older version) as long as your license is valid. About the "hanging on" of the license. Normally you can't but you could try to contact the customer care in your country and ask them polity whether they could do that. (because he is using a boxed version he can do it, see later posts) Also you have to keep in mind, if you buy in an online shop you normally receive an email with a username/password. In this case the license you bought directly starts to expire, so you can't "store" your license and use it later. However if you buy it in an "offline shop" you n ormally get an activation key that you can use at any time. This key you can "store" and activate it later. When activated you will also receive a username/password and the license starts to expire.
  10. Maybe you have changed the settings... (first part at the top) ... or it was just an (intended) delay.
  11. I haven't seen that ESET writes huge files in the temp folder (I haven't looked at that too). However you can change the variables or redirect the folder (if you're using Windows Vista or higher) with a cmd command: mklink (You have to run it as an administrator) E.g.: mklink /d C:\Windows\Temp D:\Windows\Temp More information: NTFS symbolic link
  12. Just FYI the registry key TcpAckFrequency decides how Windows handles the answers (ACK) to TCP packets. (1=every TCP packet is accredited, 2=every second packet is accredited, ...) More information: https://support.microsoft.com/kb/328890/en-us
  13. Happy Thanksgiving! (and don't forget the Black Friday )
  14. Normally it should be detected by ESET and of course ESET SysRescue (Live) too. Have you made sure you had the most recent VSD while scanning the computer? If you know a file which wasn't detected by ESET, please submit it to ESET so they can check it. Related: TorrentLocker now targets UK with Royal Mail phishing
  15. Well, there is an option for this in ESS or NOD32. You can enter the sites you want allow and check this box... If you're asking about an buisness product from ESET I'm quite sure there is a way too. PS: Was it such important that you had to write it in capital letters?
  16. Just use the username/password to activate your ESET products. When activating the license key this key will be "converted" into the license data with a username and a password.
  17. Maybe this is the Spanish version you're looking for... hxxp://download.eset.com/manuals/eset_era_5.2_userguide_esn.pdf (and this is the English version of this guide)
  18. Yes it was included. For more information have a look at the Security Bulletin.
  19. But just that I get it right - you mean the VSD updates don't you? And what EMS version do you use?
  20. No this is not about mobile data or Wi-Fi. Of course you can download the updates over a mobile data connection. But you can't download it at a computer e.g. and put it on the device. So you can't "download" it to an offline device.
  21. So when does it display this message? When you have selected "public network"? If so it's by design, because if you're in a public network you (respectively somebody else) shouldn't be allowed to access your files from another computer in the same network through file sharing. This should only be allowed in a private network.
  22. Okay thanks for your answer. That's good to know - and such simple an answer can be . Topic "solved". Edit: Or maybe not solved... In this article also stands for v7: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN37 So there isn't written "Windows 2000" too - so maybe it is still supported. Is this really such a difficult question... Is Windows 2000 supported? (or Windows NT or Windows 95 or whatever...)
  23. Isn't it enough to know that it is a official ESET domain/IP? And if it additionally comes from an ESET software I would strongly assume that it's "good" traffic.
