  1. I could find out that it was the DriverEasy software, that I used after clean installation of Windows to update all the drivers, caused the problem.

Maybe it did download excess drivers and unnecessary ones.

I did clean install of Windows two times and tested few times, and thus finally could determine it was DriverEasy making the problem.

  2. Disabling Firewall from the Advanced Settings also did not help. I did revert the app to the Nod32 few days ago, but it did not help. I will try again now.

After I uninstalled Nod32, I did not test with Defender. I did install Kaspersky Internet Security and did test with it, and it was ok. I also tested with Bitdefender Total Security but did not happen with it as well.

Let me again, install Nod32 and report back here.

I disabled the SSDP service. It did happen again. I found similar topic mentioned in link below, but I have no clue what steps to take now.

     Disabled:

    I did unblock these:

    moved these in Trusted:

Any idea what to do now?

Why VPN only gets disconnected when download speeds gets higher? If not downloading, all is ok.

  4. I am very much happy now. With the help and screenshots in the post above, I could find the problem and now running speed test and getting speeds above 100 doesn't make a disconnection from VPN.

Update: The problem happened again after 15min.

I did these steps that made the disconnection go away:

    Thid disable the:

Why the problem disappeared for 15 min, and then started back again?

@macros While I haven't had time to gather the logs yet, but I am fairly confident the issue is between EIS and the VPN.  I hadn't updated to EIS 15 on my desktop, but when I did, I started getting the same errors.  So far split-tunneling fixed the LiveGrid and firewall issues on 2 computers.  I've read in some other posts this happened to others using ExpressVPN (my VPN) as well as other brand VPNs.

I'll update when I can for your troubleshooting, but I thought I'd post this in case it helps someone else in the meantime.

I agree with you @Drew 2 before and with version 14 of EIS I did not have this problem.

If anybody else is getting LiveGrid inaccessibility notifications after connecting through a VPN, we kindly ask you to supply us with logs created as per my instructions above as soon as possible.

Dear Marcos, I changed my VPN and now do not see the LiveGrid inaccessibility notifications.

However, I also disabled Livegrid feedback system. Is that okay?

You can try to create a split-tunnel and then exclude ekrn.exe from Mullvad VPN and include it in the split-tunnel. How to do this is here: https://mullvad.net/en/help/split-tunneling-with-the-mullvad-app/

Appears that Eset LiveGrid doesn't like perhaps the DNS servers Mullvad is using.

Dear @itman Mullvad support told me this:

We do not block any websites or services with the exception of port 25 to avoid email spamming. If you're having issues reaching certain sites I would recommend trying to disable any DNS blockers which might be active (In our app you can check this in the settings "Block trackers" or "Block ads").

And the fact is that in their app, I did not enable those settings. Thank you.
