using the latest IE 11.0.9600.17105 on windows 8.1 32bit, i can't paste text copied from other sources on the forum.
it works fine on chrome though.

please follow the instructions here and remove the product from your computer.
(use the tool a couple of times untill it reports that "no products are found")
then reboot your pc normally.
then download and install it again
hxxp://download.eset.com/special/live-installer/eset_smart_security_live_installer.exe
choose your language during installation and you will be fine

I (tried) downloaded twice just to check in case of false alarms.
I tried now with sign 9432.

sometimes when I try to send a support request via the online support form or the support form from ESS program, it won't be sent.
I have tried with google chrome and ie 11.

I would like to report an issue with ess 7.
im writing here because the online web form and the form from ess itself sometimes doesn't work and the request wont be sent.
the about floater reports wrong os build number.
in windows 8.1 the correct build is 6.3.9600, but the about reports 6.2.9200.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled the program, it is updated to the latest definitions.

why don't you use the latest version of ess?
its greatly improved since version 5.

the winver.exe shows 6.3 (9600), while ess reports 6.2.9200win 8.1 is installed after a format

only when there are errors in normal virus definition update procedure.
even if you clear it every day, there won't be a problem.

since you faced a problem doesn't mean that everyone will too.
after you installed Windows again, did you install all the programs you had prior the format?
also I see the window borders are smaller than expected, did you alter the Windows installation somehow?

you don't understand.
all customers with a valid license can upgrade to all versions of the product they have for free.
for example, I have the eset smart security, my license is valid for 2 more years and I can upgrade to all new versions of smart security for 2 more years.
if your username/password expires you must buy a new one.

the configuration and compiling of v6 and v7 are perfectly fine, you messed everything in your pc.
when v7 was out, I upgraded directly on top of v6, guess what. I didn't format my hdd.
it's not a Microsoft or Eset problem, it's yours.
since you might have already did a format, be very careful what programs you install, as they MIGHT interfere with installing antivirus programs.

when trying to attach a link on a word in a post, the link options floater doesn't respond to close/cancel buttons.
I can type in the link but I can't press OK and close it.
it works fine on Google Chrome.

follow the instructions here CAREFULLY, in order to boot to safe mode and use the eset uninstall tool to remove the program from the pc.
perform steps 3-7 several times untill the window displays "no supported programs found" (or something similar).
then restart to normal windows desktop and you will be fine.

since it's stated that only business versions are allowed that functionality, then home versions can't do it.

i try to install the beta on a windows 8 pro 32bit machine and i get the error on the image.

the tint on the top where the title and the robot reside is a good choice.
also it would be nice to reduce the time the "auto-save" saves the content on the text boxes.

you don't get a answer from the eset labs probably because they find the file as true malware, and not a false positive.
i tried to access the page but it was blocked from my eset smart security.
