  1. as Marcos said in his post above, it should be wise for simple users not announce the new builds they find, because this could cause confusion and a lot of users might start creating threads asking when language X,Y will be ready to be downloaded. since this started, it might take from a few hours to a couple of days for all the supported languages to be updated with the new build. be patient.
  2. blocking the read attribute of those files will prevent even the most critical functions of Windows OS
  3. maybe the moderators or the forum system thought you were a bot and blocked the topic. i'm sure a solution will be found
  4. i have windows 10 and v9 installed. i have no issues with the MS programs. perhaps incorrect registry settings during the upgrade process prevented those programs from accessing the internet. go to personal firewall settings and click the arrows next to each category to revert to defaults. after that reboot the computer and check if internet access is available to these products.
  5. there is a new update in Internet Protection Module, maybe that fixes the issues all you have.
  6. no, 2015. many programs have a splash screen at start up, eg. photoshop. you can just leave it as is, it last for a second or two and disappears immediately. not such a big deal.
  7. here you will use the username and password you previously used with v8.
  8. Cpt. Obvious onboard maybe obvious for you, but judging by the post of fadi_nzr he might not know it.
  9. what you describe might be a defective usb drive or generic issues with the OS. a company creating antivirus/security products is not in position to create repair programs for usb sticks. for that, consult the support articles from the usb stick/drive manufacturer website.
  10. web browser telemetry feature is not to spy on it's users. it just sends data on how the browser works (slow loading when initially clicking on the shortcut to start it, craching, etc.) on each system, and as stated above it's a false positive, meaning it was mistakenly blocked and it will be unblocked in the next hours/days/weeks. i have every telemetry enabled in both firefox and windows 10 and i never seen a blocked connection notification.
  11. the Banking and Payment protection is an extra feature that runs with the web browsers already installed in the pc, it doesn't install a new web browser by itself. do you honestly consider a new feature designed to protect it's customers bloatware? then i think you have a wrong definition of what bloatware means. as for the chrome/FF issue i didn't notice anything, and i use both on almost a daily basis. some incidents are isolated and not applicable to every person using the same software. and no one is forcing you to install something you don't want.
  12. 1. please explain me what you think is bloated. 2. who told you that there is a web browser included with the eset products? 3. the same features and a few extra are present since v8. 4. plus the processes that run in v7 are the same that v8-9 uses. you think this is too bloated or using too many resources?
  13. v9 is not bloated, and soon they will release a new update with fixes and improvements. why don't you install it? it's a common thing among companies not to fix stuff that don't really affect usage on versions that are several years old.
  14. just because they say that their programs are windows 10 compatible, doesn't mean that there will be no issues. compatibility mean that the general features will work with no problems. now since every user is different than the other not everyone will have the same problems.. eg. v9 on my win 10 machine works like a charm
  15. they usually don't announce the dates until a product it's ready. so wait patiently and check the forum regularly for announcements
  16. one must not be blind or deaf or whatever in order to test if the product he makes is compatible with such programs or devices. since they said that they internally test a new version compatible with screen readers, they are doing it and soon the update will be released.
  17. he mentioned x64 browsers, so i guess chrome and firefox 64bit versions will be included. (as long as they are generally supported by that feature.)
  18. the new windows 10 november update is released and soon everyone will have it installed. i would like to know if the current v9 versions of eset home products are compatible with the new update.
  19. upload it to a safe location (eg. dropbox, onedrive, google drive) and then send a PM to Marcos with the link to download it.
