may i suggest a feature that during uninstall, the uninstaller will ask us if we want to keep the current settings intact in case we are going to reinstall it again later.
since we are already able to import/export the settings, removing the program and keeping the settings (assuming the current settings don't cause any issues) will allow for much easier program configuration after reinstallation.

after removing the program through the control panel and using the removal tool to clean any leftovers, when i reinstalled it it created a certificate with the current date.
thanks Marcos.
-
today i noticed that after turning off/on the "enable ssl protocol filtering" option, the newly created certificate has a date of 29/6 instead of 10/7, as the current is the 10th of July.
29/6 was the date that i installed the program from scratch after removing it with the safe mode removal tool. shouldn't the AV create a certificate with the current date? did this behavior change in the latest update? ESSP 15.2.11.0

i've also set the AV to scan both incoming and outgoing email. i've never seen any email placed to a folder it didn't belong.
could it be that the Outlook client is misconfigured and a rule is created or an option is enabled to place outgoing copies to a wrong folder?

the auto translation roughly says, product update failed invalid digital signature (or license)

the dark theme was removed or i'm having a hard time finding it?

Are you referring to the PowerShell script posted here: https://forum.eset.com/topic/31893-more-liveguard-concerns/?do=findComment&comment=149839 ?
sorry, i meant this
edit: live guard however automatically deleted a program i downloaded that was deemed malicious. (i downloaded several stuff as part of the pre-release modules testing.) when it deleted it, it also created a log entry in the sent files section

is there something wrong with the forum cookies? i've always selected to hide the business or Slovak forum sections by clicking the arrow on the side of each section, since yesterday they remain open even after deleting the website/browser cookies.found the culprit, i accidentally set Firefox to remove "offline website data" upon exiting it.

unless there's a specific contract between you (your company) and your clients that forbids them from changing the program or getting a new offer without notifying you, there's nothing you can do.
a customer can select a preferred application whenever they want and when they deem it will cost them less. -

both Safe Browsing download settings need to be disabled
you're referring to these options, right?

i downloaded the file, it was sent to LiveGuard as the logs report but i didn't get a notification either.
the option to notify me is enabled in the settings. also when attempting to run the app i don't get a notification that is currently blocked due to analysis

well, i did that's why i asked here as well, they told me it's normal. so i was curious to know.
The behaviour when you're trying to update the program over another is totally normal.
That's because when you are trying to update in that way a lot of services are running in the background -

Is it because you don't want to wait for automatic program update?
exactly, i regularly check the website for any new versions, and as soon as i see it, i want to install it manually.
-
is it normal behaviour for manual installation of new version updates to take more than 10 minutes to complete?
every version of v15 released i have installed it manually over the existing one, sometimes it takes 15 minutes to complete, while if i install it from scratch after uninstallation via the removal tool or the windows control panel, it completes in under 3 minutes.
i started noticing it only after v15 was released, v13 +14 didn't show this issue.
it "freezes" on backing up data and on restoring data as well
i have logs of a clean install and the in-place upgradehttps://1drv.ms/u/s!AmUbGjdaF5rhs51svbK-5lr1I4RpIg?e=kFy6G3

i asked my regional Eset office the other day and they informed me that, according to their information Eset has no plans to add crypto miners to their software.
however a moderator or a staff member can help verify this. -

follow the instructions and uninstall it in safe mode using the removal tool provided here.
https://support.eset.com/en/kb2289-uninstall-eset-manually-using-the-eset-uninstaller-tool
run it a couple of times until it reports that "no supported products found", then reboot to normal and install it again

it must be the (Chinese) QQ instant messaging app

presumed actually companies would pay for their licenses
a company that wants to have immediate and quick official support form the manufacturer of the software will buy legitimate keys/software. the others will just search google for solutions

you can open the advanced setup by going to setup > advanced setup > update > profile > updates > enable "ask before downloading updates" and set the size to 1 KB. that way the program will always ask you if an update larger than the size set will be downloaded.
so if a feature update is released, you will see it in the notification and it's size as well.
Eset antivirus 5.0.2272.7 windows 11 installation issue
in ESET Endpoint Products
Posted
perhaps Marcos in the last post was confused with the v5.0 home version. in any case, since the business endpoint product is relatively recent, it will install on windows 10 but as it's reached EOL from December 2020, it won't receive any updates, so the computers will be at risk
