  1. Then it’s best to start a thread in the Business products section. But I’d imagine it’s the same issue. Delete rules involving Chrome.
  2. My two cents from a non coder POV, is it possible updates are run at a lower priority? Similar to on demand scanning? It seems updating gets bogged down mostly at start ups or waking from sleep. If it was a true issue with the update process I'd think it would be slow all the time.
  3. According to sucuri it's not blacklisted, not sure what is causing issues with downloading. As to your original question, whether you download it is up to you but I wouldn't recommend uninstalling EIS just to install IDA. If you wish to use IDA just hit ignore on the detection, there's no need to uninstall EIS.
  4. I'd rather they continue to focus on detection rather than a silly page of splashy graphics that proves nothing.
  5. And as itman said, this isn't being blocked by Eset, I couldn't download the file either in Opera, Chrome or Edge. Edge in developer mode was all that worked. It's being blocked through the browsers so it's likely the site has been blacklisted.
  6. It's a PUA, potentially unwanted application. As well as downloading a second PUA Yandex.
  7. Yes, It can scan dmg files. I don't have one with any malicious files embedded to test the detection aspect but I assume it would.

  9. Go through the firewall rules and delete any affecting Chrome. If firewall is set to auto, rules for blocking will still be enforced, that’s why you need to delete any rules involving chrome.
  10. No, there aren't any public betas other than ARM devices.
  11. Check whatever is causing your high disk usage. Eset's memory usage can come from unpacking or emulating as it scans whatever the high use disk actions that are occurring.
  12. Yea, this whole issues seems to be a snafu. There's apparently an issue with 14.2.23 serious enough that they prevent those not on it already from updating to it, but then haven't provided a downgrade option to those using it, and then say don't worry, it's only a problem in very specific circumstances. Not very reassuring.
  13. 14.2.23 is available to download. Download NOD32 Antivirus protection for Windows | ESET

  15. I think they changed that in 21H1, its under MS Defender now.
  16. Marcos went a little further explaining in this thread but yes, it's essentially development and maintenance costs.
  17. Yes, I know its easier, but aren't the same things possible? Outside the no wildcards I mean. Not part of the thread but one thing I don't about OSA is the 10MB "License Mgr" Seems odd to me to need that much data/space to know if users legitimately bought the program.
  18. What can you do in Osarmor that can't be done through HIPS in EIS?
  19. I was doing a scan with hitman pro at the time. And it sent ekrn to their server too. So I’m not sure it that may have triggered it. And yes I did two scans with HMP. So it’s likely what happened.
  20. As itman said only moderators can see your attachments, which would help speed up this process for you. Both bleepingcomputer and malwaretips offer assistancewith FRST scans as well. It does appear you have a corrupt or malicious chrome extension so you should be on the way to resolving your problem. Once you identify it you should also likely submit whichever extension it is since so many products aren't detecting it.
