  1. Firefox isn't immune either; – Browsers targeted for attack – All Chromium-based browsers – All Gecko-based browsers – Cryptocurrency wallet information – Seed file saved to the system https://asec.ahnlab.com/en/29885/
  2. Along the same lines, don't use browsers for passwords; https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/redline-malware-shows-why-passwords-shouldnt-be-saved-in-browsers/
  3. Anyone using Lastpass may want to change their master password or change password management services. https://appleinsider.com/articles/21/12/28/lastpass-master-passwords-may-have-been-compromised
  4. She installed Ver 8 and it keeps updating to the latest version, which is where the problem comes in. What she needs is the latest version that supports Win 7, which is 10 or 11 I believe, I'm not sure which.
  5. It does make sense, this process started with Version 8 on Win 7, that's the reason the folder structure/naming difference is occurring.
  6. Have you done a clean install after using Insider builds? I had similar problems occurring on version 15.0.14.0 that carried over until I uninstalled in safe mode.
  7. Then why is it so easy to bypass Eset? Not very comforting
  8. Eset doesn’t develop the password manager. It’s a port of Saferpass.
  9. I thought Eset had excellent memory scanning capabilities.
  10. No detection here with ESSP and Brave, but the page renders.
  11. Not upset at all, it's part of the cat and mouse game. Eset and the Big K will figure it out I'm sure. Although it is slightly concerning it was "easy" to bypass Eset; "Starting with ESET, internet security was effortless and didn't take a while to run the PE inside the memory without detection; I am not here saying that ESET is good or bad; I am just indicating that ESET becomes blind while dealing with malware execution in memory blocks." And it was challenging to get around K. I generally consider them equals "Moving our test into Kaspersky was challenging, but at the end of testing, I was able to bypass and lunch a complete act of compromise, including loading Mimikatz, cobalt strike"
  12. Interestingly Eset isn't mentioned as a product causing conflicts. Which is my experience as well, it causes no problems for me, where as Emsisoft causes stuttering videoes and page load issues.
  13. Yea, I missed that point. I don't see it possible they would discontinue ESSP, particularly after just having introduced new feature/s. They're also continuing development with tweaks and adjustments for future versions. So my guess is he's making a total assumption, and it's an incorrect one at that. They may readjust naming of products in the future but I don't see any products going away. The consumer line and business line of products sort of mirror each other and I don't see why they would change that lol.
  14. I doubt it. I'm using an old AMD A6 from 2011 and I don't have any issues with ssl scanning. Video playback with ssl scanning and even parental control scanning enabled is still smooth. Normal non video web browsing is also not affected, pages load fin,e just as they do with ssl scanning disabled.
  15. Not understanding the issue either. If you're in the US, you should be safe to purchase whatever discounts Eset is offering for the holidays, the new time should just then be added to current licenses, so current customers should be able to enjoy any discounts along with new customers AFAIK.

  17. To me it doesn't matter how they're doing it, the company advertises their supposed total respect of users privacy, so the fact they ARE doing it is the issue. At any rate, I didn't want to hijack this thread and take it off topic,
  18. If you happen to be using Firefox 95, it's a known issue with them. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can
  19. Which particular videoes? I haven't noticed any slowdowns and watch quite a few YT vids.
  20. Having licenses for both products, I'd add at least in my opinion and experience there really isn't much need to use both, and Emsi's behavior blocker produces numerous false positives. I haven't used EAM since July and don't plan on renewing. Which also brings up a user privacy issue, at least in my view, when you're not actively using thier product they email you asking why every few months.
  21. If you have no intention of purchasing the product and just want a second opinion type scanner you could avoid all these issues and use Eset's Online Scanner to accomplish what you're trying to do without worrying about a license. https://www.eset.com/me/home/online-scanner/
