hello m4v3r1ck
Â
both mojave (10.2021) and catalina (09.2022) reached end of life. i see no good reason not to use ventura. is it not available on your 2012 system ? big sur ? it is still supported, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacOS_version_history. eset beta looks stable to me. u could build your own opinion and help community by giving feedback.
Thank you very much sesk, for reaching out to me.
Yes, my cMP 5.1 (mid-2012) is only compatible to update to the also yet EOL Catalina (09.2022) version of macOS. Shall think about updating to 10.15. Time moves fast lately... đ
Keep you posted. -
Great to read about the ESET Cyber Security 7 BETA - Pro? - for macOS has been released. As I'm still on macOS 10.14 (Mojave) on cMP 5.1 (mid-2012) I would love to see some screen caps, just for the look and feel of the new - darkmode - GUI of this new version.
I might even upgrade to 10.15 Catalina just for it...A few main menu screens would be much appreciated! đ

I'm sorry, didn't notice you asked about Mac OS. You're right, it's possible to select rules only one by one.
Thanks for your feedback. When will Cyber Security Pro for macOS get a major GUI and features overhaul?
Cheers

Eset focuses more on security than general privacy. There are programs designed to block stuff such as telemetry. Spybot for example has Antiabecon which can block telemetry forapps, browsers and windows updates.
Happy with Fire Fox so far. No more massive data-exchanges running thru the Firewall Interactive Mode. Changed my standard browser in Windows 10 Pro 21H2 to FireFox too.
Happy camper, have a nice weekend...đ

Thank you very much for your elaboration regarding this matter. @peteytÂ

Thank you very much for your swift reply Marco, appreciated.
I can't seem to find the icon you're referring to:
Perhaps you may share a screencap?

Hi all,
How can I batch select and delete ALL firewall rules for Chrome Helper - created with interactive mode - , without doing this for each rule?
Thanks in advance.

Update: I have imported all my Chrome websites into Firefox Release v97.0 February 8, 2022
Let me find out if this will make a difference. So far so good.
Keep you posted.... đ

What's your experience with the Chrome Helper. I have turned on interactive mode in Cyber Security Pro - macOS - for some time now and I see lots of traffic going on for Chrome Helper using Chrome for macOS | Chrome is up to date Version 98.0.4758.102 (Official Build) (x86_64).

Hello Peter,
Thank you for your reply, always great to hear from you.
As for my environment, itâs a by Ubiquiti UniFi fully managed Network with two Mac Proâs (native macOS and macOS + Windows 10 21H2 in VMâs, one MacBook Air, two Synology NAS (can run VMâs) and several iDevices.
ÂWill that be sufficient - testing wise - to signup for to the Endpoint macOS v7 Early Access Program?
Just let me known, much appreciated.

The business product for macOS v.7 is in Early access program now, but I do not have an info when the product for home users should be released / made available for testing.
It has completely new architecture so the development takes time...
Peter
Thank you Peter for your reply, apologies for my very late response. Iâll keep an eye on the Development ESET Business macOS V7 for beta testers.

Hi all, @Marcos @Peter Randziak
Is there any ETA known for updating ESET CyberSecurity Pro for macOS to a new GUI and adding feature update/add-on requests? I have Licenses to update, so in need for a more up-to-date release like the GUI for ESET Smart Security Premium for starters.Â
Any information known is appreciated.

Hi
I`m trying to install ESET Agent on Mac, Mac has macOS Monterey. I successfully installed agent but a mac won`t appear in ERA (ESET PROTECT (Server), Version 8.1 (8.1.2209.0), ESET PROTECT (Web Console), Version 8.1 (8.1.221.0) ). I checked firewall and I was able to do "telnet" on port 2222. Any idea?
Thanks
Tomas
Hi Thomas,
What specs you have for your Mac (model#) & macOS (build)?

Updated without any issues.
Question is resolved.Cheers

Hi Marcos,
Installation error after update from macOS 10.13.6 > 10.14.6 is resolved bij doing a clean install - eg skipping the Software and Security Updates for macOS temporarily until after the full install of ESET CSP 6.10.700.0 - of 10.14.6 and use Migration Assistant for restoring my user/docs/data/apps etc. Ticking like a Swiss watch again!
Of the entire installation setup I made screenshots of every step, so I'll be making a write-up with screenshots and additional GUI suggestions during installation for even better UX! I mailed with my local distributor / ESET NL that I'm glad te share this info with them.
Greetings from The Netherlands! đ -
Perhaps the above might give the developers some insight in my system...
Added a support ticket to my local Eset with the same output.Cheers

MacOS 10.14.6 is quite old. Is there any reason to Big Sur yet?
Hi Marcos, it has been a while đ
I'm still humming - due to my resources - my Mac Pro 5.1 (mid 2012) so for now I won't be able to upgrade beyond macOS 10.14.6 without any patching stuff. The download mentioned the V6.10.700 was compatible with my macOS version.
I might be switching to a new Mini or iMac next year, but for now I have what I have. I hope the issue can be fixed.
Cheers and thanks for chiming in.

To be on the safe side for troubleshooting purposes, I re-installed 6.10.700.

Hi all,
I upgraded to macOS 10.14.6 on my Mac Pro 5.1 - yes I'm late to the update party - and suddenly my ESET is not working at all. Never ever had this experience with any - macOS / Windows - of the ESET products. I already tried installing 6.10.700 and was a no-go.What is the fix - perhaps latest compatible release for my macOS - for this? TIA
Cheers

Hi ESET,
Just out of curiosity... Why is ESET CSP Mac 6.5.600.3 still 32 bit and what about the compatibility for the future all 64 bit macOS?
