ICAP server: Too many open files in ESET Products for Linux Servers Posted January 29, 2020 · Edited January 29, 2020 by s90 Hi, After a day of working ICAP server I got an error "Cannot seek in temporary file: Too many open files" # ulimit -a core file size (blocks, -c) 0 data seg size (kbytes, -d) unlimited scheduling priority (-e) 0 file size (blocks, -f) unlimited pending signals (-i) 120491 max locked memory (kbytes, -l) 64 max memory size (kbytes, -m) unlimited open files (-n) 1048576 pipe size (512 bytes, -p) 8 POSIX message queues (bytes, -q) 819200 real-time priority (-r) 0 stack size (kbytes, -s) 8192 cpu time (seconds, -t) unlimited max user processes (-u) 120491 virtual memory (kbytes, -v) unlimited file locks (-x) unlimited What number of opened files is set for /opt/eset/efs/lib/icapd and how can I increase it? Upd.: Forgot to mention that I use Eset File Security for Linux 7.0
