As you said most services are disabled than why you are using ESS?.

Basically the live version will be used when you don't have idea about 32 bit and 64 bit environments. Secondly it will surely needs fast internet connection to complete the job. But an offline installer does not need any internet connection. But you should have idea about OS environments to download the right version for your PC. Meanwhile a normal internet connection is also fine for downloading an offline version. Sometimes the online version will be terminated or it will show an error if your internet is slow or connection was terminated. That's all

Maybe these updates will stop very soon. Update your OS to newer ones.

Here is NOD32 Antivirus version 9 for XP 32 bit and 64 bit. I strongly recommend to do not use these out of date products.

May be the file is infected with a serious threat so the option is turned off. However, you can exclude files from detection and scanning through advance settings > realtime protection and exclusions. Please set a file or folder so ESET will never show this notification againt. But becareful you are doing a harmful task.

You can sign in to your ESET account here https://my.eset.com/convert and convert previous license with new product. Otherwise you can make a reply with eset email that comes with license.

I am using ESET Internet Security since years but due to Covid-19, I do not login to my email for several days. Today when i am trying to login, it says wrong password to my email account. I use account recovery options but unable to complete the procedure. I use this email when purchase ESET IS. Now is there solution to get access to my license even I lost my email and password? Thanks
