May be these options are for older version, these are greyed out now even after enabling network interactive mode

VMWare workstation has the option to connect to vmware workstation virtual machines connected through network by the "shared vms" option, through vmware workstation. The communication happens through https port. If I uninstall my endpoint security , I am able to connect but not when it is disabled or when it is running. Let me know how to add an exception to it.
