I believe it won't , he bought the license from somewhere for ESET Antivirus , the website that he bought from provided him only a license key(cdkey) , a license key has no place in ESET v4 , you need a username and password

Some suppliers do supply you with the username and password along the license key when you buy a new license , and some doesn't

Oh... I didn't realize that. So I guess the best chance of solving this is to contact the seller. That can be a pain in the behind. I hope they respond and fix the issue.

  2. Did you check if you had enough storage space in the hard drive partition where the updates should be? This is a common cause of update errors.

I know this can be a big pain in the behind. I face such issues as well. Try this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4089834/windows-10-troubleshoot-problems-updating

Also try this link. It might help: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10164/fix-windows-update-errors

  3. For me personally I think it's just unnecessary (don't throw stones at me yet). I agree with the fact that there is also lack of knowledge, but come on...Except you have some very vital info you want to protect so much them you can use the authentication security. True, there are a lot of hacks and things going on, but I don't think any hacker will want to waste their time getting into my account. Let's leave two factor authentication for those who needs it. The truth is that if hackers want to hack, I don't think it will stop them.

But all the same, I really want to appreciate ESET and others for putting in the effort to ensure our online security. I guess I might need some extra security soon after posting this 😂
