I've been having problems recently accessing secure sites using any browser (Firefox, Microsoft Edge etc) installed on my system, receiving (in the case of Firefox) the error message:
"The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified."
Tonight I went into NOD32's settings and, in the Web Protocols section, disabled "HTTPS checking". This solved my problem immediately. Has anyone else experienced this and how dangerous is it to disable this setting?
Since my ISP is Plusnet, my test case is https://portal.plus.net.
I'm running NOD32 9.0.318.0 on Windows 10, version 1511 build 10586.11 (64-bit).
