  1. Your experience is similar to mine. The problem occurs on my desktop but not on my laptop. AlexB
  2. I've been having problems recently accessing secure sites using any browser (Firefox, Microsoft Edge etc) installed on my system, receiving (in the case of Firefox) the error message: "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified." Tonight I went into NOD32's settings and, in the Web Protocols section, disabled "HTTPS checking". This solved my problem immediately. Has anyone else experienced this and how dangerous is it to disable this setting? Since my ISP is Plusnet, my test case is https://portal.plus.net. I'm running NOD32 9.0.318.0 on Windows 10, version 1511 build 10586.11 (64-bit). AlexB
  3. I'm using NOD32 8.0.103.0 and I'm also having serious problems with KB3000850. After downloading and installing I'm asked to reboot and, during the reboot process, the final stage of configuring the update fails at 99%, followed by Windows 8.1.1 (64-bit) backing out all the changes. I've no idea if the problem is NOD32 related but you are not the only one having difficulties with this massive update. I'll be interested in any light ESET can throw on it. I understand that Avast users have had major problems.
  4. Marcos, Many thanks. All is well now. AlexB
  5. When trying to install the latest version, the msi file (NUP5A84.msi) needed to uninstall the current version no longer exists on my hard disk and I have to abort the installation process. How do I get round this problem? AlexB
  6. Thank you for this. Since I rarely have to use the two OS's running via VirtualBox, I think I'll continue to use MSE for this purpose until at least April 2015. AlexB
  7. I have three NOD32 licences covering three different machines, one of which is my main desktop PC. On the desktop PC, Windows 8.1 is installed and I also have Windows 7 and Windows XP running in a VM (VirtualBox). Do I need additional licences to install NOD32 on Windows 7 and Windows XP? AlexB
