On build 10532 installation of 9.0.117 causes all internet connections to fail and cannot activate with the ESET servers.

If you block all internet connections with your firewall it won't send anything home.

I don't see why everyone is up in arms. Every major tech company has these in their service agreement, it covers them for the future. People are just blowing it out of the water because it is Microsoft. If you go look through Googles and Apples you will find near enough the same thing. Microsoft aren't spying on you, its just people exploiting paranoia.

Rated one of the worst for performance.. ouch.

If you read the email it says "we have been informed by our third-party forum provider". ESET doesn't host the forums or manage the database. Invision Power Services do.

Are ESET uses protected against the GameOver Zeus Trojan?

At the moment ive for MBAM 2 with everything configured, ESET SS configured to my liking and EMET. Never caused me any problems or slowdowns. Also never had conflicts

Many laptops that come with webcams now have the cam physically turned off with either a key command on the keyboard or via software. I noticed when testing the anti-theft it does not enable the webcam. Is there a way to get it to enable it in the phantom account?

I am trying to stream movies from my laptop to my xbox via the playto option but the firewall blocks it, with the firewall off it works. I have follow this guide hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2317 to try and fix it but it doesn't work.

I just installed ESET Smart Security on my Windows 8.1 Pro machine and tested the anti-theft part of it but i hit some problems. I created the phantom account and set it as stolen. It soon after rebooted as expected and began to sign into the phantom account, when it was fully in it was just a new user account, no background change, no webcam activity, all my software was there and could easily access my users files on the main account. Have i missed something with this?
