Some of my num pad's keyboard don't work 1,2,3 /, and maybe some other. Sometimes after I restart when I try to go for example facebook, instead of "f" there is an "s", like I press f but there is a s as a command, after I close the browser and put it on again its all fine. Could it be a keylogger thing ? And why my 1,2,3 and some other numbers on the num pad just stopped working, I tried to reinstall keyboard it worked untill I restarted my laptop.

sure , yesterday I ran a normal scan it it was all fine, just that I can't cancel the in depth scan which is running since I posted this topic. I clicked cancel and turned off the laptop, it worked the first time when I waited more than 23 hours, but now I did the 2nd in depth scan as I mentioned I ran since I posted this topic, it wouldnt stop, ill wait 1-2 more days turned off the laptop, hope it works

So its almost been 2 days ( maybe 3) since I set on in detph scan, the scan is still running at 5 hours 1454 scans objects. I dont know what to say, its a good think that I Know its out of malware , man for a product that I paid for ?? C'mon

If I enablesmart optimization, will it have an affect of the ing 27 hour scan that its doing ?

I can wait a day, I want it to show that there are no threats, but as I MENTIONED AGAIN CAN I put a youtube or a twitch , a browser and would it affect the scan ? IN 1 hour and 30 minutes my other laptop its gonna scan for 24 hours , have you heared of like this before ?!

How can I make another test if the current one just wont stop scanning ? its been almost 11 freaking hours and it still stuck with 1454 objcets scanned, just saw it 5 hours 24 minutes (must be at least 11 hours), by the looks of its gonna take forever. You never answered my question if I put a youtube video that last 10 hours or a put streamer using a browser will it affect the scan, since its the only obvious solution I see, Will it affect the scan procedure ?
everytime I press the cursour or something in the laptop with the span of 2 hours it shows some kind of sound like the power engagemnt is on, even though the scan continues.
Its quite late here right , now . Yesterday I waited for this scan to finish waited untill 3 a.m , started from 7ish, thought this is gonna be different , still the same shows 5ish hours 1454 object scanned , been almost 11 hours , or maybe 12 already , LIke what the is happening ? -
Guys , I do understand that you are Gigachad's on this matter, but for peasants like me , its been over 8 hours still shows 5:24 hours and 1454 scanned objects, I could wait for 1-2 more hours, is it normal thing perhaps for this version or I am having issues, by I am having Issues ( I hope I am not the only one) and what if I put a youtube video or a twitch streamer so I doesn't goes to sleep will it affect the scanning procedure ?

In previous versions you could at least stop the updates if an update caused problems - this is no longer the case.
Do you also have issues when trying to pause or stop the scan ? like it just doesn't work until 1-2-3 hours ?

Yeah I didn't understand anything, what you guys said :D, I suppose its normal and just have to wait a bit longer ? And will it eventually be fixed in the upcoming patches ?

The laptop that usually doesn't go off while scanning , as far as I remember also had like delayed objects scanned showing (as far as I remember im not 100% sure) because it doesn't go to sleep mode and I just leave it until it finishes. But yet again, yesterday when I scanned (the one that turns off) usually takes 7-8 hours to make in depth scan, yesterday went to sleep at 10+ hours so it wasn't done and it was also stuck on 1454, same directory - microsoft office\root\office 16\accwiz.dll

5 hours 24 min into the scan only 1454 objects scanned, last time I checked my it was also stuck on microsoft office\root\office16\accwiz.dll
But last time it was also stuck on 1500ish objects, but eventually it finished the scan with the usual amount of scanned objects. As Itman mentioned, about that other had issues with this, does it really stop or just the scanned object doesnt show until later on ?

Manuel scan , and under action after scan - NO action. The thing is that the laptop falls a sleep even before the scan is done, then I press the power button and it continues, but I feel like while a sleep it doesn't really scan but only time passes . I had once 14 hours or so scanning. I feel like it just messes up the whole scan

I've set my battery options to never fall a sleep, but after about 3 hours of scanning (in depth) laptop goes to sleep, I always have to press something before that time span. Yesterday I managed to wait for 8-9 hours usually takes 7, and the scanned objects were stuck at 1500'ish time - it showed 3 hours didn't move after I checked after couple of hours it showed 5hours, I mean its not counting time, just stuck on certain hour and after a while it changes. I had this the last time I did scan , restarted the pc and made a new scan also didn't show LIVE all the items scanned and timewise but eventually it finished within 7 hours ( hope its normal that it doesnt show live ). I was wondering if I should play a youtube 10 hour video or put some streamer on twitch , but will it affect the scan if a google browser is running while scanning ? For example on my other laptop also the options are never to sleep and the scan period is longer but it never goes to sleep.
Going to sleep after scan just messes up everything I feel -

The above stated, Eset's real-time scanning will detect the vast majority of malware upon creation on the local device. Also of note is Eset performs default scheduled scans of known system areas where malware resides at system startup and after Eset update activities.
Thank you very much ! Just a quick questions the Scan your computer ( the fast one) says it takes action by itself ? Like if it detects the files as pot. unsafe app will it automatically quarantine them ? Or like the in depth one it waits untill you take the action. As for the ThreatSense I will leave it by default because I have no idea what the disabled ones do my Runtime packers and adnvaced heurisics /dna signature are off, hope its fine ?

This option detects exactly as stated. These apps are not malware per se, but exhibit undesirable behavior such as scams to purchase unneeded services and the like. Due to the fact users might be using such apps as you are, the option is not enabled by default at installation time.

I've been using the ESET IS for over a year now, doing in depth scan regularly - was all good 0 detections. Last month I discovered that under advanced options on my pot. unsafe apps. the tick was on off and I turned it on "Balanced". Made a in depth scan and it found couple of detections(to my surprise) which I know that had been installed couple of years ago , I know about the apps clicked ignore. Just wanted to make a double check if it's something new so made a scan again with pot.unsafe apps turned on - 0 detections and made 2nd scan with the pot. unsafe apps on balanced - found the same number of unsafe apps and the little window pop-ed up (the one that asks you for action) "a pot. unsafe app was found in a file that microsoft compatibility telemetry (what is that?) tried to access." This time when I pressed ignore, it didn't accept the command so I pressed couple of times and I think I accidentally put it in quarantine after that I went to quarantine section and restored it( I need it to run certain programs). Im running again the in depth scan to try to press just ignore and to see if its gonna work.
1. Why it did let me ignore it the first time and the 2nd time the command was not accepting the ignore button ? Does it have to do with the microsoft compatibility telemetry ? ( I will try now when the scan is done)
2. If I click on the exclude from detection, will it ESET notice if the app has some modifications in the future and delete potential breach ?
3. If the ignore button doesn't work again and I put in quarantine , then go to the quarantine section and restore it does it mean the app will be working fine ? ( Sorry might be a bit silly question)
4. I had this app for over 3 years now, I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary like 0 issues. Now that I turned on pot. unsafe app it shows, but pot unwanted app never detected it, if it has some serious concerns shouldn't the pot . unwanted app protection detect it ?
5. Why the pot. unsafe app was off by default ?

Well, I don't really remember doing so ... perhaps clicking on the X on the green borders ? Anyways does mean that the both computers are browser protected ?

Although both computers have the exact same options enabled, on the one left under advanced setup one laptop shows " Browser Protection 1" and the other doesnt show the "1". Both computers show the green borders with X and the eset icon while browsing google chrome.
On the one without the 1 shows Protections - 5 and detection engine - 7, and the with one with the 1 in front of the browser protection shows well you can see protections 6, detection engine 6 (not sure if it matters) was just thinking if it the one w/o the 1 has one protection lower than the one with the 1, does it mean that it doesn't have browser protection ?

As for the log all objects - its also fine to leave it as it is ? As far as I understood, this juts makes it run smoother and faster, not that it doesn't scan it. -
Could you please navigate me where exactly is this ?
And is it normal for potentially unsafe app's to be off ?

It doesn't really bother me for the time being, let me just clarify if I understood you. Eventually a fix will be released I just have to wait ?
