  1. @itman thanks I just sent a message to customer care and got a email notification they will look into it. I wil post back here once I find out something about my issue.
  2. @itman I added my desktop valid license to the myESET account and now showing 2 licenses. but instead of having 6 devices showing in list I have 5. The Samsung 10e is now missing lol. But I still cannot add the Samsung S10e to the ESET Mobile security For Free. Still saying 0/1 devices . This is a nightmare and I am afraid to delete the myESET account for fear I will lose that Free license. I do not want to add the Samsung again at this time because it will go in the list under my desktop license. I don't want that. I really don't know my next move. Greatly appreciate your suggestions
  3. Thank you for the reply itman. Question before I attempt that. If I delete the myESET account won't that delete the License name: ESET Mobile Security For Free with all the info there? Like the license key that is valid until 01/20/2039. (I am assuming when I installed that on my old Samsung phone it was a special offer.) On the myESET account when I 'open license' I can only see the info under the the ESET Mobile Security For Free. My desktop license does not show at all. It just gives me the info for the mobile. I will attempt to add my desktop license to see how that goes first.
  4. @Marcos when i open myESET on the Samsung i see the home page. under overview i see 2 boxes. one is 'licenses' and number of licenses is 1 In the 'Devices' is shows number is 6. When I open licenses it shows ESET Mobile Security for Free Paid next payment 01/20/2039. Purchased = 1 used = 0 available = 1. Public license ID is there and License key is there. But I cannot add the new Samsung. Figure that one out. Under the 'Devices the Samsung is showing as 'Protected' but ESET Mobile app is not installed on my device at the moment.
  5. @Marcos thanks for the reply That is true. When I first setup ESET many years ago and purchased the license I used my internet provider email account. Since then I thought I added my hotmail account also. I setup MyESET account with my hotmail account and all seems well. It When I open it there are 6 devices showing but actually there should be only 1 which is my desktop. When I go to the mobile internet security section there is 1 and that was my old samsung cell. I removed that as to itman's instructions. Now in the mobile section there is still the license but no device showing and I can't add the new samsung to that section. If you go into MYESET account you should see that ok.
  6. Thank you for the reply itman. I followed your instructions in the link. I install the mobile app and when prompted to select email address, the only options are to use my gmail account or select another. I select another option and proceed to enter my hotmail account and password. All goes well and done. when i open eset it starts the process again. Seems the only way I can install eset mobile app and open it is if I use the gmail account which gives me the 30 trial. But the problem there is I cannot connect it to myeset account because it fails on the email address because the mobile app is set up with gmail and not hotmail. Why the heck is eset mobile app forcing me to use my gmail account to install it. I have uninstalled eset mobile app several times and just getting tired of the endless loop. One more try and I will forget it and move on to another mobile app. Greatly appreciate your help with my problem cheers
  7. That didn't work. I 'disconnected' the old samsung and now I have no device for the valid license key in myeset mobile internet security account. I cannot add the new samsung s10e to that existing license. It says that key will not work for this device...lovely
  8. Hi All, I got prompt by ESET Internet Security for an update and had to restart system. A popup box came up after and gave me a link to my account and when I went there it showed my active mobile license but it was for my old Samsung I sold a year ago. How do I remove the old Samsung phone and replace it with my new Samsung S10e so the ESET license will continue to work on my new phone? Greatly appreciate any help here. Cheers

  10. Since the latest update for ESET Internet Security 14.01.20.0 I have noticed when I click on my banking site it does not open a separate secure browser. I do see a little icon on right side of browser with a " X " and the ESET symbol under it. Is this the same security as I had with the separate browser feature ESET had before the update? For some reason I am not feeling so secure just using firefox while doing banking anymore With a separate browser open I could clear all history data in that one alone and not touch the original firefox browser. Any advice would be greatly appreciated cheers

  12. I have always renewed my ESET but a friend asked me what would happen if his license was expired several months and he decided to renew again. I don't know so I ask here. Is there a time limit on renewing ESET before you have to pay the full price like a new customer? I know you have 13 days of grace that ESET will continue but not 3-6 months. greatly appreciate a reply
  13. Sorry I confused you there. I was very stressed at that time and reading so much about the antivirus could be the problem and to try disabling it. But all I done at that time was basically turn off the protection. and then I tried to create a rule but gave up on that idea because I wasn't sure about the correct way to do that. I had to give up because other things got in the way and then I finally started the next morning. I have worked on it again for a short time today but I have to head to work so will try again tomorrow. I would like to hold off on reinstalling ESET software until I can get the 0x80070035 error fixed. Once I get that issue fixed I will return here and update this post. If I reinstall ESET after I find a fix and I am unable to see the network computers I shall follow your instructions above. Greatly appreciate the replies to my post. cheers
  14. Thanks for your reply. I first tried to disable ESET but that didn't make any difference. I tried disabling it after many of the error 0x80070035 fixes I tried and I still could not see the computers in Network or Homegroup. So after a full day of that I decided yesterday morning to completely uninstall ESET and after a reboot both showed on the two computers. I could see the shared folders but could not access them. I though I was getting somewhere but they still can't communicate. There is something in ESET that blocks them from showing up but I don't think ESET is responsible for the error 0x80070035. I will post back if i find a fix or someone comes up with one I haven't tried yet. cheers
  15. Thank you very much for the reply. I have not tried to contact ESET yet because now that I have uninstalled ESET software from my computer I am still getting the 0x80070035 error. So I must first try to fix this error before reinstalling ESET..I have tried countless fixes for this error and none worked. I am almost to the point that I may reinstall Windows 10 because of the many changes I done. At least now I know that ESET was blocking the computers from seeing each other and now I just have to find a fix for the error so I can access both computers and print from my laptop like always. This is a tough one for me this time and I can only blame the error on the anniversary upgrade. MS must have changed something with network security to cause this or maybe the upgrade made a glitch when installing. I am at my wits end on this problem, Greatly appreciate your suggestion and if I get this error fixed and reinstall ESET and it blocks my network I will certainly follow your link to contact ESET. cheers

Today I have removed Eset Security software and I am now able to see both computers under Network and under Home Group but still can't access either computer So it seems Eset is part of the culprit. I will not reinstall it until I have this network issue resolved. I may not even install Eset at all. Seems nobody here on this forum is experiencing this issue or it is a known issue and no solution yet cheers
  17. Hi All, I have Windows 10 Anniversary update installed on my system and all is well, I also have ESET Smart Security 9 (latest update) installed. I went to print from my laptop (Windows 10 Home Anniversary update) and I get the error code: 0x80070035 when trying to connect to the main computer which has the printer installed. I have tried many of the options available in the Google search and been at this for 4 hrs now. I have tried setting a rule in the ESET Firewall but that don't seem to work. This worked fine for me before I installed version 9. to the best of my knowledge. Could someone here send me a link or instruct me as to how I can access each computer like before? :I uninstalled ESET Smart security and reinstalled again but it don't work. I have allowed sharing of the printer on the main computer and setup the homegroup and the laptop is connected with the password. I can see the laptop from my main computer but cannot access it. I cannot see the main computer from the laptop. Greatly appreciate any help in this issue with Version 9. cheers
  18. Well I decided to go against my better judgement and disable ESET and install the software. All went well and a full scan of WonderFox DVD Video Converter folder was clean and program works fine. I always like to be sure and trust ESET to protect my system. Greatly appreciate all your replies and will mark as solved cheers

  21. Hi All, I check the 'giveaway' site every day and install free programs from reputable vendors. Today I tried to install WonderFox DVD Video Converter 8.6 and ESET Smart security picks up a variant of Generik.CDIJVJO Trojan. I have installed this software a while back before I upgraded to Windows 10. I had to reformat and install Windows 10 fresh because of a few bugs and of course I lost my registered copy of this program. Others are reporting they installed this software without an issue. So was wondering if ESET is being picky Any suggestions to help me install this program today because the offer will expire today? thanks
  22. Hi All, Just wanted to say "Thank you" to ESET for making the Smart Security software compatible with Windows 10 upgrade. I used the Media creation tool to upgrade my Windows 8.1 to 10 and everything went smooth including leaving ESET Smart Security running as usual before I started the upgrade. Been running for hours now and Eset is up-to-date in signature. cheers
  23. Was wondering if we should disable ESET Smart Security when we are in the process of upgrading to Windows 10? Reason asking is that I have not been able to install ESET Smart security on any build since 10162. I do not want any trouble that I can avoid when I make the plunge to upgrade from Windows 8.1 cheers
