Ichy gave kudos to McMcbrad in Your LiveGrid system needs tweaking
I am not here to talk about TrendMicro or Windows Defender Smart Screen and neither are you, as this is the Eset's forum. I am here to provide a finding and feedback on how Eset's products could be improved. I can accept any sort of product failure, as this is technology. Important thing is to learn from it and avoid it in the future, which clearly Eset refuses to do.

The fact that malware could inject into trusted process can be mitigated in other ways. Creating a HIPS rule that allow only certain apps to access certain folders is madness. Can you list all apps that I have to add to this list? This is a paid product and securing people is your job. It's not their own job to add HIPS rules. That's why we are paying you. If I wanna write HIPS rules I will come join your team.

Ichy received kudos from Ferenc_ in ESET Internet Security Question
Hello,
Sorry to join.
I would like to tell you that I solved the same problem after updating to a new version of EIS. The dot appeared not only in the notification, but also in the event log, and in the task scheduler the update rules. I tried to solved the problem with czech support but they were unable to help me with this. They recommended me to remove third-party application and reinstal EIS. Finally, I tried to download version 11.0.159.9 from your site with the old version of Eset after installation. After that I updated the EIS to the latest version through the updates, checked the event log again, the scheduler, and tried the notifications, all right. In support, they said it wasn't a central problem, but only for me. Hopefully, it would help someone if he did. Sorry for my english.
