  1. I have upgraded ESET Endpoint antivirus version 7.x linux mint 19.3 Cinnamon to Endpoint Antivirus version 8.x.

By removing the old version and installing the new version
Based on information on help.eset.com for version 8.x linux there is an user interface display available.
But after I upgraded to version 8.x by clicking on the icon of the installed ESET application, the user interface doesn't appear.
Is there a specific way to display the user interface in linux mint 19.3 Cinnamon?

Note: OS has run apt update and apt upgrade before installing ESET version 8.x

From provided logs and screenshots, most suspicious is upper-left graph that indicates there are "pending" logs, i.e. data from client that was not processed in time. This might have two reasons:

    • There is some performance degradation on DB layer, i.e. database server itself is overloaded, or underlying hardware or disk storage
    • There is significant increase of traffic/data sent from clients. This seems to be confirmed also by growing database size - are you in middle of deployment and just much more clients has been deployed recently? Or there has been configuration changes that might have forced clients to send more data? For example by enabling reporting of all installed applications, or by requesting diagnostic logs...

Also when you open status.html and hoover over number in section "Received logs statistics" it will show more granular data, which might help us to pin-point which type of data might be causing issues, if provided to us.

    Thanks for respons,

No we're not in the middle of deployment phase,  we'd just disabling the diagnostic log, it used to be enable. Here's the capture of statics of logs received ( status.html full ) .

And as you've just state, the DB size is growing rapidly , the size of the DB currently around 16GB.

Hello, your backup codes should have been e-mailed to you once you have activated 2FA for EBA

You will have to contact ESET Support, verify the account ownership, and from there we might be able to help you (like disable the FA via impersonation).

Thanks for the answer, I will try to contact ESET support.

    Hello,

I have several Redhat servers and already use the same EFS and the same network but on this 1 server I have activation problems.
Positions for the network can be accessed at httpps://edf.eset.com/edf

I have a problem if the activation does not use the activation proxy failed the association, if the activation via proxy is successful, but it is not activated.

1, Create a new firewall profile
2, Create a blocking rule for all communication and select the newly created fw profile in its properties.
3, In the "Known networks" setup, assign the new fw profile to the wi-fi adapter.

Thanks for your answers, it can now block wifi connection.

  8. Hello,

Our company want to make policy, that all PC/Laptops only allowed to connect with cable connection/LAN.
is it possible for eset Endpoint Security to block someone for using wifi connection from any source, or in other words blocking wifi connection, or force to disable it, and how?

    Best Regards,

Categorization may differ. You can temporarily block all categories but "News, Portal & Search" and search for websites of some game makers. When blocked, you'll find the category in the Parental Control log.

Thank you for the answer, I have tried and succeeded in the Hobbies & Interest category for games, entertainment for Arts.

    regards.
