No idea about Firefox as I use Chrome and I'd update Windows if I was you

Well should I switch to chrome? I mean obviously thier is the data stealing that Google does and I don't even have to say anything about google.. why do you you choose Google and would a password manager like bitwarden (just an example) instead, be better?. Sorry off topic but I'm still on this part makes no sense and has to be wrong obviously. Until I duckduckgo it an glance at it. (Note: I accidently deleted part of a sentence so I just guessed it. The sentence b4 duckduckgo.)

    Version - 2004

    Installed on 12/1/2020

    OS build - 19041.685

Experience - doesn't matter and they won't tell us what it is officially or unofficially which this page gives an idea after explaining or sneaking in NO MORE OPTIONAL UPDATES. Huh wonder why that is?.... (sarcasm) Anyway I didn't ever think there was optional updates just like none on Windows 10 were optional. But you did, use to be able to delay a pretty decent time and I'm sure people figure out how to delay way wayy longer then they patched it. Spyware. Enough rant. I haven't noticed any issues with Eset internet Security but I know eventually, well the 24th officially, ill be forced to update. Ill update when I sleep. Any issues on you end? How's it like , Do they reset your settings like privacy settings/things along those lines etc? Or are they even their or an option?  What bugs are you experiencing? I know its different for everyone, just had to ask. Also do you have EIS or EPS? If you don't mind me asking?

Additionally, Eset license status is shown in the Eset GUI Help and support section per below screen shot. The posted example shows an Eset license with one seat; i.e. 1 device, purchased:

    Eset_License.thumb.png.0726402fb1fce859e54eb25834eade64.png

Ya I had that 2 paid.  I guess I'm to foolish for this so idk what I'll do but I figured it out atleast the getting both computers to work with each license.

You're referring to "seats." For example, a 3 PC license has only one license key but 3 seats allocated to it. When this license is installed on a PC, a seat is allocated to it.

To reallocate a previous used seat to another device, you uninstall Eset on the device where it is installed. This should automatically remove this seat allocation in Eset License Manager. You can now install Eset on another device and a seat will be allocated to this device in Eset license manager.

However, sometimes things get screwed up for a variety of reasons and the seat allocation in Eset License Manager is not removed. This is why you should manually verify a previous used license seat has actually been removed in License Manager after it has been uninstalled on a device.

I did. Wow this is a major pain in  the rear. Ugh.

For extra information about windows updating,

You can use the Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB edition which doesn't feature update frequently as Home and Pro edition.

    ---

From myESET account you can switch off license seats and assign them to another computers.

O just noticed 1 license equals 5vorcam I losing my mind?. Also is it the same with premium?

    Sorry for bugging you.

What if your have 2? Like they both have the same license key 🔑  but Desktop is different you know where it says desktop?

  6. 10 hours ago, itman said:

Yes, that was also my assumption.

As far as use of my.eset.com, it is only applicable if the license was purchased directly from Eset. Otherwise, you have to create an account at my.eset.com and manually add your license to it.

Well I manged to, after much prayer, get all the info you need. Well according to the eset page. You know how you press ctrl + u and it shows that info? Well ya. Anyway do I need to Uninstall the eset on this laptop with broken screen? I mean it would make sense to.... I'm going to go ahead and just Uninstaller it from control panel. Or is that not enough to remove key?

This type of inquiry is out of scope for this forum.

That said if the broken PC won't power up, you're out of luck unless you backed up your personal files previously. Another possibility is removing the hard drive from the laptop and use a SATA to USB converter: https://www.newegg.com/vantec-cb-isa225-u3-usb-to-ide-sata/p/N82E16812232064?Description=sata to usb cable&cm_re=sata_to usb cable-_-12-232-064-_-Product. You can then attach the drive via USB connection to another PC and copy your files to that PC.

It powers up but the screen is screwed. This sucks you need that computers eset info to transfer it to another computer. If I were to just transfer it off pc to new laptop then it would cancel eset on that pc. Ugh all this just transfer. Irritating I had dang CD. HAD stuff clean so who knows it is.

Ya im aware of that, all i care about is getting the code transfered which you explained. Im aware of back ups. Best buy can do it. Another loss in translation. I have the pc part handled but thats irrelevant.

Yes. You can create encrypted folders on an USB drive. Locally, you can create an encrypted virtual drive.

This is what im talking about.. Having windows automatically get updates. I get for this one you need to update your eset and Windows to 20h2. By what date do you need to do this because my eset is fully up to date but would like to wait as long as possible to update to 20h2. The deadline spring 2021 which is March 20th. Will this be like this every update? I know its impossible to tell but you know like a big deal...?

Contact Eset North America: https://www.eset.com/us/about/contact/ about adding new seats to your existing license.

That is only offered in Smart Security version. It's up to you to decide if they are of value to you.

What about doing the ESET INTERNET SECURITY DEAL AND ADDING SEAT WILL I BE CHARGED DOUBLE. I mean obviously I'm already charged for June's of last year but will it charge me again if I do eset deal? Eh instead of saving 10$ id be paying more and causing more of a headache so I guess just add seats which will it be 10$ per set still? Also I thout premium allowed your to encrypt folders or pass lock? Not just this encrypt an image which I can do with pgp.....

So exactly what is the problem?

As @peteytposted, Eset is compatible with all supported Win 10 versions. As such, you can delay Win 10 updates as long as you wish.

Eset gets its Win 10 update status information from the Microsoft web site catalog. If Eset's notification that Win 10 updates are available is the issue, you can disable that notification in Eset GUI User Notifications section.

Ugh you should learn Russian. Its a smooth language an no crazy rules like other languages like English. Also for example how it sounds is how IT IS SPELLED and how it is spelled is how IT IS PRONOUNCED. Anyway must be language barrier because this confused me and gave me impression I have to be up to date on the dot for MS10 an change the settings for updates to be automatic and as soon as released..I can't remember exactly where I saw it but its in this area. https://support-eol.eset.com/en/

Also if this is a misunderstanding is there anyway I can add number of devices without re buying the entire thing? Also instead of renewing which I hope it hasn't yet, is it better to cancel then do the deal their offering this time of year. Also is that password and image encryption worth it?

I think something has got lost in translation. Why would Microsoft say to ask eset about Windows 10 updates. Have the updates effected eset or something as I'm struggling to see the relation sorry

Maybe but ya good luck finding a support number with a human or even robotic help. The forum admins and moderators are horrible. So basically it was a not our problem gist and just pointing the finger.
