  1. I'm just wondering if this is a bug or whats happening here. I have WPA2 very strong password for my network and today for the firs time I got this pop up. This is pop up from ESET's scenarios web page, but mine was the same.
  2. itman would be undoubtedly the person to award for his big contribution of helping others on this forum 👌
  3. It seem to be working without issue, I can't explain what happen. If you wish, you can please close this thread.
  4. I don't see anyone else reporting such issue and I'm sure I would hear more complaining and since yesterday morning everything is running fine. I can only presume that this could have been possibly bad update installation, maybe even something to do with my windows, and the fact that you never know what to expect from windows 10 This morning I have also updated 3 of my other systems and they are all good. I have been using ESET for I think 2 years now without a single glitch, it works exceptionally well, so this hick up made me worried and on the top of that, the failing PSU I hit the panic mode. For now It s all good and thank you Stay safe
  5. Now I'm not sure what to think. First of all, in my very first post I said ESET 14.0.21 and I'm not sure if it that's the version was or it was 14.0.22.0 and if there is any difference anyways, but that's what I have installed now since this morning and no BSOD, normally as soon as I would get on YouTube it would one after another, it wouldn’t literally let me go to desktop I have set my PC to create full dump file so if at any time it does happen I will send you the necessary files. Although, as I said earlier this morning I was updating one of my sons windows 7 to the latest ESET IS and that was 14.0.22.0 and right after install and reboot it did BSOD with "Unrecoverable error" so it is something to do with ESET. Unfortunately because that is my sons school PC and all his assignments were on it and he needed to submit them asap I had no choice but to reload ISO of earlier stage of that system which had earlier version of ESET and no BSOB since. Now I'm worried to update his PC to the latest ESET. I will keep eye on this now and as soon as anything come up I will upload full dump file with logs and PM you. Is there possible issues related to BSOD’s that you guys are aware of now or suspecting that it happens maybe to specific systems? Thank you
  6. I’ve updated ESET to latest on another PC (win7) and this was never the issue before, but while I was reading on how to generate dump file on that win 7 PC that I just updated it BSOD on me so it seem to be related to ESET. I will first generate dump file on my main PC that I initially spoke about getting BSOD after BSOD and upload somewhere and PM you, I might do that later today. If this happens on this PC again I will do that as well, but do it one at the time. I will drop that off sometimes today. Thank you
  7. I'm still not sure if its software or hardware related as I have reinstalled to older version of ESET, yet got another BSOD. I'm going to run some tests and will report back. I have slight doubt its ESET, but lets see. Thank you
  8. Update: I knew my PSU was dying, it was obvious so I replaced it I honestly thought It was the PSU alone causing the constant BSOD's, but I was wrong. I was on a desktop for a good few hours and everything was working fine, but I realized that I was still on ESET IS 13.2.18 so I decided to update and right after reboot I was again presented with BSOD, It wouldn't even let me get to a desktop. I reinstalled it back to the older ESET IS 13.2.18 and no BSODs, so it is the latest version 14 that is problematic.
  9. My apologies for the late response, but to let you know it was the PSU that was dying. Coincidentally, the same day I have updated ESET I have also replaced new PSU that unfortunately was defective. Thank you
  10. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with ESET. It just started crashing BSOD the other day when I updated ESET, so it could be coincident. Just a minutes ago I reloaded my windows to earlier ISO which I always create before any update and still crashed, but here is the thing, It crashes only when I open Firefox, especially YouTube. I was watching video and all of the suddenly BSOD so when I restarted PC upon starting FF PC crashed again, up to yesterday everything was running perfectly fine. Now I'm testing Edge browser and PC it’s not crashing, I don’t know if this is software or hardware issue, although I just installed new Seasonic 1300W Prime Platinum PSU and I’m wondering about that.
  11. Hi guys, I don't know if this is coincident, but ever since I installed new update 14.0.21 my windows 10 Pro crashing with BSOD while on YouTube, this never happen prior to update. I'm on latest windows update 2004.19041.572 Have anyone experience similar issue
  12. There is absolutely no reason to change anything about GUI, Its simple, yet elegant and easy to navigate and if that's your only gripe, your in good hands😉
  13. Here is some of my history of changes as far is AV. I have been with avast for roughly 2 decades, loved v4 then anything after that, especially started from v6 was a truly hog and whey to many false alarms...hit and miss, on top of that, even in paid version which that's all I have used adverts on adverts, trying to sell you their crapware. I have tried Kaspersky and it’s decent, but even with system like mine which is no picnic, powerful you can tell the sluggishness and slowdowns...I didn't like it. So I have tried ESET Security and its breath of fresh air. Super light on your system, excellent combination of low false positive yet, high detection rate and so customizable, so as long is ESET stays light and not going to pull stunts like avast and will try to impose on you their software I don’t see myself ever moving away to anything else.
  14. Yes I got one as well. Its a weekend I presume that's why It hasn't been announced yet😉
  15. I'm not trying to insult your intelligence, but It doesn't seem like you put much thought before making your comment
  16. How relevant this results are, It failed simulation big time, Is it because ESET doesn't support simulation or Its having hard time comparing to a real, should I be worried 😉
  17. Ideally I would prefer to be giving a choice for a reason e.g. premature software release, still full of bugs so ultimately random user is the beta tester and suffers, but I can see a positive difference with ESET which I hope will continue. They don't rush, unlike, other developers who release new upgrades so darn often, literally every week or two (I won't mention who) so people are furies due to ton of issues. I understand that up to date security software is necessary and reputation comes a long way. If someone complains about e.g. virus attack or security breaches, and they spread bad word about brand they use into a wild, at the same time not mentioning that their security software is not up to date, It's not fair, so I can see ESET's reasoning behind their implementation. Thanks btw. Marcos I haven't receive any message from you, but that's OK, no big of a deal now. Enjoy what's left of the weekend
  18. Thanks itman, no harm done, there should be more user like you, much appreciated.
  19. I'm fairly new to ESET product and as we all know, with today's busy lifestyle we don't always have enough time to do our research to any inquiries we might have, so we reach out to more experienced users and most of the time that place would be support forums, users like you and me, and we are hoping that despite the complexity of your inquiry, no one would make feel like you wasting their time. Within a short time that I have used ESET ISS I have fall in love with that program itself, support!!... Well, that part yet to be determined. Fast forward. Recently I posted a question that was never answered and my only logical explanation would be.. It was to simple to waste someone's time or I wouldn't like the answer. I expected to get some sort of answer, rather than to make me feel like I was pretty much stupid for asking such thing, that kind of behavior it's not only unprofessional but it's considered to be rude and I'm sorry If my expression is rather harsh, but that is how I feel. I have had high hopes, and I was planning on purchasing few dozens of licenses for my wife's already pass due workstations and although I still think ESET offers great protection, my love for ESET its getting tinted, this experience made me reset my thoughts on the whole ESET idea. As I have mentioned before I have used another AV (avast PRO) for over 2 decades and although the product itself has dramatically changed and ultimately made me look for an alternative which led me to ESET, but I have to be honest, their support and that includes the users support forum was top-notch. In 20 years, not once I was made to feel that any, even the smallest question was not important enough to answer and I guess partly It's my fault that I have set my expectations on ESET to high. I can't say I felt that way always, there was a time when my questions and requests weren't ignored and I appreciated that and I thought this part of ESET's package wouldn't change. I guess, you can't have the best of both worlds right? I hope I didn't overstep. I presume that the forums section of general discussion is the place to post your experience, whatever that might be.
  20. My Windows 7 is tweaked to be quick as can be and that's why I think ESET is awesome , Its light and easy on resources, but, is it coincident or this new upgrade to 12.2.29 made my windows, at least It seems even faster😮..do you guys know this as well? and I'm not complaining 😀 (Its actually rhetorical comment) I'm just expressing my appreciation. Thank you ESET Team 👌
  21. Ahh OK sorry for placing my inquiry in the wrong section and thank you for the answer.
  22. Will there be available offline installer of the latest ISS Thank you
  23. Hello, I know this new version of ISS released 12.2.29.0. I'm on 12.2.23.0, do I have to manually download the latest version in order to upgrade or eventually ISS will notify me and eventually the upgrade can be done directly through the program Thank you 😉 OK, It seems I got my answer, It shows in program itself that there is an update. Thanks again
