  1. I disabled eset firewall but eset helper was still spiking the cpu! I tried to uninstall it but wouldn't even complete the uninstallation until i closed all chromedriver tests or rebooted. Why does it use eset helper when i have set windows firewall as the default?
  2. Eset internet security v12.2.23.0. And yes only when chromedriver is running.
  3. I am running chromedriver but 'firewall helper' is causing cpu to spike every now and then. I have added to the zone rules but its not doing anything. If i end it manually it drops back down.
  4. no, doesnt make a difference. I might try to reset the modem.
  5. If i try to connect to 192.168.1.1:8443 chrome returns ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED I have added 192.168.1.1 to advanced setup > firewall > zones > trusted zones. Restarted system but still not working. Edit It doesn't seem to connect on my phone either. Works on my other device that i set the router up from no problem.
  6. I followed the steps in this article support.eset.com/kb2843 added to the 'firewall rules' tab.
  7. I have whitelisted the executable in the firewall. It doesnt seem to take up much cpu usuage now.
  8. When i run browser automation tests eset service (eset firewall helper & eset service) takes up 70% cpu usuage. My cpu is constantly running at 100% until i kill the processes. I have tried pausing the firewall and real-time protection but it makes no difference.
