  1. I've been using ESET NOD32 going on 5 years now and all of a sudden over the last month during random times my computer processor starts running 100% locking my computer. When I look into the resource monitor its says its ESET thats running and Ive checked the ESET program and it shows no scanning of any kind running. I try to cancel ESET from the resource monitor and it won't let me which my only fix for the problem is to manually restart my computer. After doing this I don't see it for a few days and then out of nowhere it starts again. My computer is an i5 4670 @ 3.40GHz and ESET when running a scan after checking my resource monitor only uses less than 20% of the resources so I have no idea what causes ESET to randomly use 100% of my resources and Im about to ditch it for another antivirus if I cant find out what the problem is. Any help is very much appreciated!! Regard, Russ
