Yeah I do think having 4 home windows versions may confuse some users.
I always felt the premium version could have done with more stuff to persuade people and a VPN may have helped with this. You may have people who want the VPN but don't need a password manager, encryption etc.

may i suggest a feature that during uninstall, the uninstaller will ask us if we want to keep the current settings intact in case we are going to reinstall it again later.
since we are already able to import/export the settings, removing the program and keeping the settings (assuming the current settings don't cause any issues) will allow for much easier program configuration after reinstallation.

Suggesting a separate option to completely hide rather than fade the green border on browsers when browser protection is enabled.

I actually think it's a good idea to fade to show that it's enabled but there's a lot of posts from people who aren't pleased. Wondering if it would be worth this with a warning. I mean can't you disbale the AV and Firewall and hide the warnings? If so I suppose it's not much different

Description:  To not have ESET perform an entire scan of one's computer at each startup set as a default action.

Detail:  I personally don't want that, it really bogs things down, and on one system the scan takes about 1 1/2 hours.  It wasn't easy on my Windows 7 system to stop the scan either.  It took several times of clicking the 'x' to make the scan stop.  I had to consult the help section to find the settings to disable this feature.  Scheduling a full scan according to one's choice would be fine.    Or maybe a 'quick scan' of the most common problem areas, like Microsoft Security Essentials does?  If a startup scan must be done at all, that is...

Why do you attribute the issue to ESET without a proof? The OP has not found out the root cause of the issue. Moreover, EAV cannot technically block access to the Internet completely, e.g. DNS and ICMP is unaffected.
