  1. Hi, I use Iobit software but lately Eset has been blocking it calling it a PUP. Is ti safe?
  2. You will have to download it and install manually. Hi, How do I manually update the program? Can I download a patch or do I have to download the latest live installer? Also can I install over it or do I need to remove the version I have first? Thanks,
  3. Please refer to my previous post: Instead of turning off that feature, it should be enough to add network-aware applications that update on a regular bases to the exclusion list. Ahh, I didn't see that setting. Thanks.
  4. It appears turning off checking for changes in approved programs worked. I just don't know why I had to do that.
  5. Hi, I play a lot of online games and when I first install them and give them the ok through the firewall everything is great, until the game or launcher updates. Suddenly the firewall will block the newly updated file, which you would expect, but it never prompts me to allow it again. Even going in and editing the entry does not work. I usually have to delete the entry and create a new one. I am a Norton convert and I never had this happen with Norton. What can I do about this? Thanks for any info! Joe
  6. HI, I have a pretty good gaming system and own the latest Smart Security. I noticed after having to do clean reinstall of windows that after installing Smart Security my system seemed unusually slow. I went through the settings and tried turning off start up scan but that didn't even really help my start up time never mind real time. In an Eset KB they recommend disabling the Eset service but what does that do? Isn't that what stays resident to do real time scanning? I realize there has to be some kind of slow down to account for real time scanning but I have never seen it quite this bad. I did a repair but have yet to un/reinstall. I was hoping someone might know some tricks. I also have not played with exclusions yet either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  7. Hi, I've been using Smart Security Anti-Spam with Microsoft Outlook for about 2 weeks now and it seems I continually have to block the same emails over and over. I examined several of the ones if seems to find a second time and everything is the same, both the to and from addresses and even the subjects. To be sure I even checked the headers and they are identical except for the unique email ID. What can cause this? Thanks, Joe
