  1. As Marcos wrote earlier: When it comes to HTTP Debugging Methods (TRACE/TRACK) Enabled See https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/core.html#traceenable "Despite claims to the contrary, enabling the TRACE method does not expose any security vulnerability in Apache HTTPd. The TRACE method is defined by the HTTP/1.1 specification and implementations are expected to support it." Customers can enable/disable them in the configuration using syntax TraceEnable [on|off|extended]...
  2. You could use greylisting too, for any received email that is not from a recognized sender. For more details see https://help.eset.com/emsx/9.0/en-US/idh_config_mailserver_greylisting.html
  3. If you bought ESET product in retail with ESET activation code, you should activate it follwing this ESET KB article: https://support.eset.com/kb2664/ If you did so, you must have received your ESET username/password and Licence Key to your e-mail adress, and if in the meantime you have lost this email (licence data) -> proceed to earlier mentioned ESET lost licence web page....
  4. Follow this procedure : https://support.eset.com/kb32/
  5. You need to contact your local ESET distributer/reseller who sold this licecne to you to check it's user/pwd, or go directly to this support page: https://www.eset.com/us/support/lost-license/ to retrieve needed data.
  6. Then you should follow the instructions from this ESET KB article: https://support.eset.com/kb2664/ (Register your ESET product online with a serial number or retail key)
  7. I have question about New Update Pane - is it possible to make "Check For Updates" icon and text more visible (significant)? Now for careless users (read - majority of them) it looks like there is no "Check For Updates", and I'm afraid that we are going to have lot of such questions - like: "where is now this "Update now" button", or "why have you need to hide it?"
  8. I just have connected to one of our customers with same problem. 1) This is not ESET message, it is Microsoft Windows 10 Security and Maintenance message, and is (by Windows) generated in endless loop. 2) Message was generated by Security and Maintenance of Windows 10 after his license expired. 3) Disabling messages about virus protection helped. In any case I wouldn't recommend it as permanent solution - instead just as first aid until license is renewed or customer installs some other antivirus solution, and then return these settings to default.
  9. You can check this: hxxp://www.eset.com/int/business/virtualization-security/vmware/
  10. We had one similar case. Please uninstall ESET Smart Security using ESET Uninstall tool (see ESET KB2289 - hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2289/) Then install it again. It helped us.
  11. Thank you peteyt. Safe mode -> ESET Uninstaller -> and then install again, and now everything works...
  12. Yes. We are using it all the time with our customers and works well.. Just in some "strange" cases uninstall does not work and then you should use ESET Uninstall Utility. With "strange" cases I'm thinking about: where are two or more AV product installed at same time at same computer. Most probelmas we had with Symantec products - even when it looks like they are uninstalled they left lot of garbage Where malware destroyed part of Windows OS (like: disable BFE) There usualy helps sfc /scannow or some of Microsoft FixIt programs Where another program changed rights in Registry HKLM/Software branch return rights to admin
  13. For now (and version 5) you should check this ESET KB article: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN3040
  14. For all of you who don't see ESET icon in system tray, there is ESET KB article "How do I display the ESET icon in my Windows system tray" ... And - it works for all Windows version supported from Microsoft (V7, 8.x and 10.x)
  15. Surfer1000, How often do you open ESET program main screen? Because of my job, I have it open every day all the time, and have no problem with it's size. When I'm checking something usually it's full screen. On my home computers, I don't open it at all (maybe if there is some threat, or when it's time to renew license ) - and again have no problem with it's size. And, all this time I'm using it, and also in communication with people who have ESET products on their computers, there was no one complaining about it's size on screen, regardles of version of their products...
