  1. I am having real problems communicating with new servers I am creating in my environment. They are 2016 standard Windows Servers From the ERA server, I can add the server by IP address and it picks up the name. From the ERA server I can use NSlookup and pink to talk to the new server I can schedule tasks to run but they never complete. From the new server I try to install locally and when it gets to the prompt screen "connection to the remote administration server" - the next button gives me the message "it is not possible to connect to the ESET Remote Administrator Server" I have turned off firewalls on both the ERA and the new server. I have recreated a new set of credentials to log in to the ERA server and given them admin privs Any thoughts? This is driving me nuts. Should be really simple. Any ideas on more troubleshooting steps I can take? Thanks Chris
  2. This ended up being a weird authentication problem - even though there was no indication that it was not authenticating! I created a new account in ERA and used that to talk to the new server Cheers Chris
  3. Hi, I have a new VM created from a clone in vcenter - windows 2012 64 R2 I am unable to successfully communicate from this one server with the remote administrator server (ERA). On the new server I have turned off windows firewall completely. From the new server I can nslookup to the ERA server successfully From the ERA server I can ping to the FQDN of the new server From the ERA interface I can add the new server by IP address and the FQDN comes up (but I cannot remotely deploy - it says it will but it does nothing) I have deployed agents successully before to other servers From the new server I can telnet to the ERA server on port 2222 When I try to install the agent via the MSI, I get to the point where it tries to talk to the remote admin server and it says "Cannot connect to the remote administration server" Any thoughts would be most appreciated as this is driving me nuts Cheers Chris
  4. Hi, I have a simple SMTP setup using a relay. I have 6 existing systems (printers/ anti-virus etc) which send email alerts via this relay. So I know it works! I am confident the settings are correct as we have no security and anonymous authentication. So I am literally only entering host, port, user and password (which would be ignored), sender address and I have tried a few different authentication (automatic, blank and anonymous) When I hit the send test email button I get this: Test email has not been successfully sent. Insufficient arguments for sk.eset.era.g2webconsole.server.modules.config.ConfigEngineModuleImpl.testSmtpSettings(ConfigEngineModuleImpl.java:703) Any help would be appreciated as this message does not really offer much help :-) thanks
