  1. I did already. Check your messages. edit All sorted out, up and running. Thanks again!
  2. I'm having the same issue with Debian ( debian-7.5.0-i386-netinst ). I can't find any means to activate the trial account (there was never a prompt), the username and password are just blank. The virus definitions bundled with Nod32 Version 4.0.81.0 are ancient as well (8719), so I'd like to be able to update.
  3. Everytime something like this happens I recommend people get familar with LastPass or KeePass https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KeePass
  4. I think you should of made a new thread for this. I skimmed through the videos though. If they're new enough where ESET isn't picking them up, then send in the samples. See: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN141 Two other options are https://www.virustotal.com/ and hxxp://virusscan.jotti.org/
  5. I just scanned with: https://www.virustotal.com/en/url/29dd5bece916229459336d8992e8323dcefe41ac5bf45550a3e2c940aed04821/analysis/1384181928/ And I'm not curently getting anything by visiting that page with ESET Smart Security. Granted it's been a few days since your post so maybe they've fixed it.
  6. "Tools > Submit sample for analysis" needs a progress bar for the uploads, I never know if they were sent or not.
  7. I'd scan both with https://www.virustotal.com/ and/or hxxp://virusscan.jotti.org/ That'll give you a better picture of what those .exe are. Go to Help in ESET Smart Security, then search for "Running processes" I'll copy and past it here:
  8. I'm not at all saying to dump "https protection activated in ESS" but there is another really great Firefox addon for HTTPS: https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere
  9. Just responding here in case anyone else has the same issue. Alright, figured it wouldn't go on something so old. Thanks though.
  10. Actually being able to sort the list in "Running processes" by Process, risk level, Number of users, Time of Discovery and Application name. You know, simliar to Windows Explorer sorting. And then if possible, a link to VirusTotal for the "risk level unkowns".
  11. Have you submitted it to VirusTotal? www.virustotal.com/ ESET has a page here with details on how to submit files to them as well: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN141
  12. Old system I keep around for nostalgic fun, but I never had any issues using Nod32 on it (last version was 6 something, so no idea if this issue exists with Nod32 7). Decided to try Smart Security, but I received an error while trying to install it. It also references "appcompat.txt" and "ekrn.exe.mdmp" When I open "ekrn.exe.hdmp" and "ekrn.exe.mdmp" Visual Stuidio tells me "This thread tried to execute an invalid instruction". Now, here's the thing: The AMD k6-III has no SSE instructions and because of such, I get this type of error across a wide range of modern software (because what doesn't have SSE these days but old AMD CPUs). However, I feel this system meets the system requirements of: If someone wants the two files, "ekrn.exe.hdmp" and "ekrn.exe.mdmp" please message me, I can't attach both because it's over the 2mb forum attach limit. Again, I know this system is old and already on the verge of having WinXP become EOL next year, but I'm more reporting this in hopes it helps someone and also because I'm an ESET fan and like to see their stuff run. Let me know what else you'd need from me, if anything. Thanks.
