  1. I see the former Banking Protection redirection is no longer a feature, replaced by the options to access BP manually in the same protected window as before, or to opt to have "all browsers protected". How do the two protection features compare? I ask because when trying to select a favorite web-page printing add-on to the Banking Protection window, the three or four I tried were denied. What does it mean for the several add-ons currently active in regular Firefox use, if I then opt to use the All-Browser Protection feature?
  2. I apologize for the ambiguous description. The error is on the US Bank website. Something either in the ESET implementation, or the USB website, has changed recently to cause a glitch.
  3. Starting a few days ago, I'm unable to complete online bill payments at the US Bank website. At the very last step, confirmation, I get an error message that a component could not be loaded. If I instead use Firefox without going to the Banking Protection window, the payments go through fine.
  4. Sure, and once warned, it should be disable-able, for those who wish it so. Just like any of a hundred other warnings and features the use has control over.
  5. Thanks, I had seen that post, but skimming it, didn't see the issue of disabling the alert mentioned. I'm on an open network at a resort facility, that requires login on a provider webpage in order to get internet access, but is otherwise open without authentication to the AP. At least that's how my limited understanding places it. Given the detailed configurability of ESET products, I'm surprised this one feature can't be disabled. It's damn annoying, and superfluous past the 2nd or 3rd time.
  6. Thanks. I made that change earlier today, but am still getting the warning. Also doesn't matter if I use "untrusted network" or "use Windows Setting".
  7. Every time I open the browser, I get a pop-up in the middle of the right edge, warning me that I'm connected to an unprotected wi-fi (I am at the moment), that is unsuitable for banking, etc. The warning stays there unless I close it. I don't need to see this every time I connect through this network. I've been all through the Notifications, and Network Protection settings, and am unable to figure out a way to stop this. Can anyone tell me how? thanks, Mike
  8. Yes, that's the shortcut I used. I don't recall how or where I got that tip, but that works as a Quick Launch shortcut. Out of curiosity - it's not an integrated feature, how would reinstallation bring it back? The main site I was never able to successfully add was online.citi.com, or any of several citi domain variants I tried. However I see that it is now being recognized. Currently I'm unable to get www.chase.com to open in the secured browser. I've added it to the list of secured sites, but still no luck.
  9. The BPP feature doesn't automatically recognize most of my financial website destinations, and I've had no luck adding them manually. I was able to add a Quick Launch shortcut that brought up the BPP window, just as can be done through the program interface, but with only one click. However I lost that shortcut and now can't recall how I did it. Can anyone explain how to do this? thanks, Mike ETA: now I remember, I located the bpp executable and linked to it.
  10. Doesn't work for citi or chase either. Has never, in nearly 2 years. Always using Firefox.
  11. EIS 11.0.159.9 is making me nuts. I now regularly get notices of a half dozen files that I have tried to exclude from detection. Their persistence sometimes makes the PC unusable as they spam the view almost non-stop. I have just cleared my exclusion list to start over, but there were multiple copies of each file address in the list, yet I have been getting several flags per day over each file, for several days now. Perhaps this coincides with a recent EIS update I seem to recall. Anyway, most of these seem to be caught by the startup scanner, some by realtime file system protection. When I make an entry in the RealTime File System Protection exclusion list, does that list apply to all forms of scanning - startup, realtime, idle state, and programmed scan? If not, can someone please tell me how to fully whitelist files? I have tried adding the file addresses manually to the list, and also by responding to those popup notices that allow ticking the exclude-from-detection box, and then the Ignore button.
