  1. Hi Michal, Thank you for the quick reply. So I might not have enough information yet. My experience with ESET has been administering my local site. Today I started my new role in our corporate offices, and I am told that I will be taking over ESET. Of our 18 sites, I had the most up-to-date and best managed site, and I am will be in-charge of assisting all of the other sites in improving their ESET infrastructure. Unfortunately, I really can't provide the site information or why we chose individual servers and I have not become privy to that information yet. I guess I jumped the gun in asking what I can do to fix my issue, without really knowing my issue. Thanks, Tim
  2. Hello, So I have been a relatively active user and administrator in my local site's ESET Remote Administration portal. However, I am now taking on admin duties of 18 sites. I was wondering if there was a way, whether it be software, a plugin or something that would allow me to see all of my sites at one time? Having the ability to not have to log-in to each individual site would be useful too. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tim
  3. I'll need to acquire a new sample. I will open a new thread when it comes back. I have only been alerted to 2 users who had this issue, and the sysadmin deleted it without giving me time to research.
  4. Hello, It was reported to me by one of our sys admins that we have had 2 computers with an eset.temp file that was 30gb and larger. Unfortunately he deleted it before allowing me to see it and be able to collect more knowledge, so I was curious if anyone had any more information on this file. How is it generated? What is it? Are there issues with deleting it?
  5. So I have completely automated my deployment of ESET, and I'm so excited. From the first time a computer is PXE booted until I give it to the user, I will have 0 need to do anything in ESET other than verify that it is installed. However, I still have a backlog of machines that need something or another fixed. Currently, I have a dynamic group that will search for machines in AD every 15 minutes and it looks for machines that have the Agent but not EES. I then have a task that will trigger every time that group is changed and will automatically attempt to deploy the EES to the new machines. Most times it works flawlessly. However, there are times when the auto-deploy doesn't work. The task could be interrupted and the EES doesn't install. So how can I automate a retry on failed machines so that it will attempt to push it to machines that did not get the EES when they first joined the dynamic group? I could schedule a daily task, but what suggestions do you guys have? Maybe a CRON expression?
  6. So what I found is that the ini created had my hostname contained the FQDN. When I removed the FQDN and just made the hostname the name of my server, it worked properly. Thank you for your help!
  7. I'm sorry, I never noticed a reply @MartinK. I followed the ini instructions found here: https://support.eset.com/kb3675/ I followed the SCCM instructions found here: https://support.eset.com/kb3680/ My "test" computers have been freshly imaged PCs, so they would have 0 chance of seeing the agent before. Hypothetically this should install in the command prompt before even using SCCM. I can get the agent to install, but it does not connect to the ini and configure the Agent to talk to my server. I will post the contents of the INI file below while editing out the stuff specific to our business. P_INSTALL_MODE_EULA_ONLY=1 P_CERT_CONTENT=(VERY long string of characters) P_CERT_PASSWORD_IS_BASE64=yes P_CERT_PASSWORD= P_CERT_AUTH_CONTENT=(Another long string of characters) P_HOSTNAME=HOSTNAME-SVR-28.atro1.astronics.com P_PORT=2222
  8. Hello, I am trying to fully automate my ESET installs. I have the entire second half completed (once the machine has ERA and seen by the console it will push EES). The missing piece is getting ERA to push out via SCCM and connect to my server. I have followed the instructions here on the ESET website VERY carefully, and cannot get it to push and see the ini file for the configuration. Since SCCM just executes a script, I figured if I just ran it locally, it should work the same way, however it still will not connect. I feel like this means I'm having an issue with the ini file. I also do not know how to check after the ERA is installed if the properties installed with the correct servername. If you try to change it through addd/remove programs, and hit repair, the server always defaults to localhost. Does anyone have any tips or ideas of what I could be missing? Thanks
  9. Thank you! This works very well. I just wish I could figure out a way to get ESET to Sync with AD more than once a day. I guess I could configure 4 server tasks for AD sync and stagger them every 2 hours through the work day if it's really that much of a pain.
  10. Hello, I am trying to figure out a way to automate my ESET deployment based on a new user being added to Active Directory. Essientially, what I would like to do is to be able to run a command for Static Group Syncronization and allow this to install the ERA, then EES on any machine added to AD. I will list below the steps I have figured out, and I was hoping someone could help me piece together what I'm missing...if this is even possible. (2am scheduled) Server Task Triggers and synchronizes my "Computers" AD OU. THEN Due to changing dynamic group, ERA is deployed to all computers in the "Computers" OU. THEN Due to Server Task "ERA Deploy" Running, Client Task "EES 6.6 Install" starts on all computers in the Computers OU. Here are my issues. I cannot figure out how to create a dynamic group that includes any computers in my environment, even when using the built in templates. I also have no idea how to trigger a Client Task upon completion of a Server Task. Thanks,
