  1. Hm, that's true!but hips show the same descriptions and cant recognize the different...
  2. Thanks for the explanations! maybe help I cant try it now! nvm, it doesn't matter anyway. There are bigger problems:-(
  3. Hm, I find another interesting problem. There is Eample.exe in C: program files!and I already allowed everything for this file.so I just tried smth and created an Example.exe then removed that Eample.exe and replace it with this one! Ran it and Hips allowed everything for it! why? because Hips only care about the name and not hash!!! Eset why is that? so broken? what if my file got change? or the file modified by malware? then you will allow everything for it?!I'm not sure maybe I did a mistake?what is this lol
  4. Eset is the lightest Av I have ever seen... there is smth wrong with your stuff Not Eset!you can try this tool hxxp://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/SysGauge.shtml and find the problems :-)
  5. There are times that Hips ask about smth when I already allowed It, and I have to restart the pc to stop alerts. This only happens for new files and just in interactive mode pls consider a fix for this issue!
  6. More than this? Find the files that want access to the Eset processes then create some costumes allow rules(for all operations)for them((if you are 100% sure about their safety )) Also, disable the safe protection and Eset will not block your game anymore! but why would a game want to block av process? think yourself :-) I'm thinking maybe your steam processes Hijacked and someone is trying to hack your pc:D take care!
  7. Hm, the same issue happens to me today. What I tried: Repaired the Eset but it didn't work then uninstalled it from the safe mode and reinstalled it again but the issue still was there. later I disabled the device control and removed all my rules inside it and restarted the pc so everything back to normal!
  8. I never find your tools useful. That software updater can only find the available updates for famous tools! I found a Chinese software updater that can even show you the available beta versions of software like Sandboxie:D do you understand?also for free!
  9. For now, you can try this: Open one of your logs go to the menu and select compare logs and manually chose a log that you want to compare it with the current log.
  10. Same here, Compare doesn't work for me! it was working before(ver10)!idk what is wrong with it. P.s: i don't have any problem with the show button but there are some problems with that compare!
  11. This problem also exists for the hips in interactive mode. Tip: you need to restart the pc and after that, it will not ask about the existing rules!
  12. Live Gird can pick up unknown files and send them to Eset labs so the defections improve.but I'm just saying you can make it alert about the risky lvl files..
  13. This must change :-) What if a file(let's say its a malware and not detected by Eset)ran and wanted a permission but the user was not on the pc? Then what?then it will auto allow the operation!from what I know Every Hips is based on the auto deny f the user doesn't provide the answer... This is the problem with Eset Hips!they need to rework it!also not every one like the policy mode! It's not only about the Anti Exe!this auto allows exist for registry access, and other operations such as write to file, loading drivers and more... I mean everything. I'm waiting for the answer from Eset developers and my lifetime license. See you later Eset.
  14. This is not only about the Explorer and its true for other alerts as well!if you get an alert and don't answer it then it will auto allow it! Also, the Hips alert shouldn't disappear!because I didn't allow or deny it! !but as you see the alert will disappear!why? because Eset allowed it!
  15. Tried it again, Set my rules and ran Sophos clean which is my on-demand scanner! Hips asked me to allow or deny I didn't answer! waited 2 min and Hips auto allow the access?! Just do the same thing for yourself and watch the results! Eset if I prove that there is such bug in Hips then you must give me a free lifetime license for Eset IS:D
  16. ITman pls test what I said! if you got an alert from the hips just don't allow it an wait 2 min!idk if it's only my problem?! tried it in interactive mode an also smart mod but the same story...
  17. This is the story: Hips showed me Explorer want to access X application!I didn't allow it and just waited to see what will happen. After 2 mins Hips allowed it without my permission!I thought smth is wrong with my rules but I removed all of them! It can happen for everything not only this rule! pls, try yourself! set some rules that you can see the changes!like set a rule for Explorer.exe and tell Hips if explorer wants to access an application then alert me ok? Don't answer the question just wait also don't touch the mouse and don't do anything!you will see the operation will allow without your permission.
  18. Sometimes It happens if you don't have a right path for your file, application or registry entry. like you want to have C driver on your list but you type C not C:\
  19. Don't have because it's for 2 days ago :-(but there is a Chinese forum that shares new samples. I know and thanks but I just wanted to ask Eset make this AV more effective..... Thanks, i also wanted to know what does that orange means! Same question here! Eset at least some alerts for risky files?! or processes?! Mate, I'm an average user and I want to make the decisions by myself! I cant work with PowerShell, I don't know how to handle BSOD, I don't know much about registry! so im an average user. The guy you mentioned is not an average user he is a novice user!even 5 years old kid can read the alerts and decide! I mean it's not that hard! would be easy with practice!
  20. Ye, I saw that myself. But we can have a digital Signatures list and tell the live gird if the file is from x,y,z and it has unknown level then let it run otherwise block it or ask the user? it works better. I know Eset will not do that I'm just saying its better XD. This is sad!Eset ignoring others because a novice user is also using Eset products and He/she cant handle the alerts:P Eset sacrificing the security and others for novice users:D
  21. Yesterday I got this problem but only for 10 minutes Anyway, the live Gird is not that useful for novice users because it will not make a decision even when knows a file is risky...
  22. With the live grid(manually check for the reputation), the system remains safe(because the user sees the risky level )!but without the live grid(default settings and no Hips or anything)the system is infected! Better safe than sorry:P P.s: The good thing is the file automatically sent to Eset lab and after 2 hours ESET detected it!but pls consider I could run the file before The Eset catch it!
  23. https://www.welivesecurity.com/2017/06/20/machine-learning-ESET-road-augur/ Does live Grid use this Ai technology? I'm asking this because I had a sample that was not detected by Eset and I could run it! but when I right-click the file and press check for the reputation then live grid marked it as risky! Seems smart!but it won't stop me from running the sample why is that? why not just alert the user if live grid knows a file is risky?I believe the detections can be much better if you let the live grid alert the user!
  24. Thanks for the explanation but The crack was an example. Let's think its malware and at the same time, a lot of ppl have it! then what?how smart live grid is?
