I'm getting this same error. I did follow the instructions in the link provided. The funny thing is it works the first time. When I click finish and run it, no synchronization takes place. When I go back in to edit it and try to browse AD I get the: ldapsearch' failed with 49 exit code It looks like the password is not being saved correctly. If I type it back in again, browsing works. As soon as I click "Finish", it no longer works. d.
